I've heard of Black Rock Shooter before but only in passing. I read your whole review on it and based off of what you said it seems like I would enjoy it. I think i will watch it then. I'm not in a big anime watching mood but I'll definitely take note of it now to watch since I like what was described in the review. Thanks for the rec!

I haven't seen any of the Monogatari series, but many people like Bakemonogatari so I'm planning to give that a chance.

Hmm, if Black Rock Shooter is only 8 episodes then why not.

I don't appreciate spoilers even if they're vague. You could have just said "enough to make me drop it" without adding anything else, especially when I clearly already said that I have not gotten that far yet. Not cool.

I have read the novels up through Onimonogatari and generally agree so far. I still think Tsukihi Phoenix is the worst but Mayoi Jiangshi and Shinobu Time are not much better, but I definitely think Tsubasa Tiger and Nadeko Medusa have been the best in the series along with Koyomi Vamp, so I'm excited for Hitagi End if you think it's on that level.

Although I can't help but notice that you didn't include any arcs from final season which makes me concerned lol, does it not reach the same peaks of quality again? That'd be a shame. I do really like this series overall despite its low points and inconsistency.

Thanks for advice. I've been planning to watch it for a while know, but unfortunately I don't have much free time recently and I barely manage to keep up with seasonal stuff. I'll give you feedback once I watch it in the future.

I've been meaning to get to Black Rock Shooter, believe me lol. I am interested in magical girls of nearly all kinds after all :P
But I already have a massive backlog of other stuff, and I wanna get to them especially since I paid a lot for these DVDs lol. Maybe if I somehow find this show on DVD it'd be on my immediate radar... but aaaah I also have school and homework to get to!!! I hate adult responsibilities!!! Don't be like me, please balance your time with responsibilities and fun... responsibly!

How did you get into Madoka Magica, by the way?
