| I find it amusing that the half of the MAL community is being very lenient despite the ramblings in their past experience with anime, then to go and conclude a judgement solely based on that alone. It's a total mystery, some people. Well, whatever. Should ''Yumekiu Merry'' be perceived in a negative way, then turn out to be an astonishing anime, or the likes, their the ones who will be missing out. I can understand the reaction you get when watching something. However, the least you can do is set aside the past, and try and appreciate the fruit of someone's labour. Anyhow, I, personally, was entranced by this episode. I felt like I was watching ''Inception, Soul Eater, and EF- A Tale of Memories'', all at the same time. The aura of this anime is really weird. It's definitely a good feeling, but I get a strange sensation watching it. (o.O) Whatever, animation was good. The story seems really gripping, and unique. The characters were a bit ''seen it all before'', looking. Nonetheless, I have a good feeling about this anime. With that all said and done, I look forward to the next! |
| I'm glad I decided to pick this up, I enjoyed the first episode and looking forward to the next one. Also, it has been some time since I was surprised that the 25 minutes passed without me noticing. I thought I was still at half-time. 5/5 |

| I was honestly expecting this to be just another generic anime like, lets put a recent example, Asobi ni Iku Yo, but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't the case. I found the animation lacking in soe aspects, but at the same time it was refreshing and, once gotten over what bothered me, easy on the eyes. The fight sequences aren't bad either. The story was way more interesting than I would have guessed and it leaves room for an ooriginal development, something that has been seriously lacking lately. And of course, I like Merry. She is misterious in ways that most animes try to make their heroines be, but fail almost always. I simply really, really hope it keeps it up and doesn't go down, like so many others, in the next few episodes. |
| This is kind of reminding of old school disney cartoons. But the show was surprising entertaining. For some reason, I don't care that it's in the same old school setting. I think I just got used to it. Anyways, I too am looking forward to the next episode. |

| First thing that came to mind: "I am Chaser John Doe, the Proxy of Death". I officially love Merry's design though. Every part of it looks great, from the 'I STOLE MY HAT FROM YUYUKO' to the ridiculously floaty jacket tails which, by all means, shouldn't work, but somehow manages to look really damn good. Could do with a bit more animation quality though... looked rather shabby in places. And by places I mean most of them. |

| The music was really fitting imo. This anime reminds me a lot of shakugan no shana somehow.. o.o but I really like it:) The fighting scene was a bit shabby though. Merry's character design looks cool! :3 Yumeji looks so plain and dull though.. like most of the male-charas x.x Overall, this was a good first episode - interesting enough so i'll keep watching:) |

| It was really strange.. i dont know i like Merry's clothes (drawing) or not. The dream world -i think- looks like s**t. i had seen before better fight scenes. it will be never the anime of the season (for me probably) . But i'm going to see a few more episode, maíbe will be better |

| the shittiest first episode to an anime ive ever seen, loads of stuff was crammed into this episode without ANY explanation, im gunna drag myself all the way through this show to see if it gets any better but at this point its a disaster. |

| Interesting start of this Anime having a person who can relay with the dream world and than Marry a quite interesting character that doesn't know her self! Well I'll keep watching and see how it goes! |

| don't remember how or where i found this, i wasn't sure what to expect really, but the graphics on the page here on MAL made me think it'd be something comedic but with the looks of something like Soul Eater, after this first episode though, i'd have to say that it feels like it'll be pretty serious, kinda, i like it so far .w. |

| This dream world setting the anime keeps jumping to is very intriguing. It doesn't seem like the narrative has planted its feet yet, but I suspect it will soon. So far it's following a somewhat unconventional manner of delivery. |

| This had some nicely animated scenes. In general it wasn't too over the top. The only real downside this episode was the MC just standing in a daze without explanation. This could be a fun watch. |
