| It makes sense considering the length of the matches needed for a win (3 out of 5 vs. 2 out of 3) for the national spot. I'd rather have this mini season to put into a lot of good effort into one of the biggest matches of the series so far than a mess of a full 25 session. It'll help with the pacing of future seasons as well if this happens now instead of a regular season. |

At least they try to tie up the cliffhanger from the 2nd season as soon as possible instead of waiting a long time for there to be enough materials and losing the interest of viewers along the way. |

It'd be strange to have 10 episodes all leading to such a massive arc's peak, and then violently swap to a much different, slower pace. After this they'll probably go back to one 2-cour season per 6-8 seasons. Haikyuu (manga) sells all too well not to milk it, so worry not: it'll be back soon enough. |

| Huh, figured it would be at least 12, but 10 makes sense too in the end. It honestly would feel weird for the finale to start a new season and not be the conclusion. Obviously I'm a bit bummed to see that we aren't getting a full dose of 25 episodes again, but this course satisfies me and it'll make the next season release sooner as a result, assuming they do adapt that far (I'm fairly confident they will though). |

I put up with that stupid war in Naruto until it was finally over and One Piece has some really long arcs so while it was long, it wasn't enough to make me wonder when it was going to end. I know that wasn't the same for most of the readers though. About 1/2 to 3/4 through the match is when I started noticing people getting antsy over the length. |

| I already knew before they announce it that this season will have 10-12 episode since it's all about Karasuno vs. Shiratorizawa. I kinda feel upset, I hoped that this season would have 20+ episodes like the previous seasons |

| Considering it was the 4th best selling manga of the first half of 2016, if it continues to do well I'm sure we'll see another 25 episode long season. For such a long and important match, this is fine amount of episodes and by the end of this new season the manga will be so far ahead they can probably start working on S4 in 2017. Nice. |

| This was what I was worried about when I peeped that Haikyuu's 3rd season is properly titled "Haikyuu!! Karasuno Koukou vs Shiratorizawa Gakuen Koukou." There should be enough material in the manga to make it a full course season, but then the air date wouldn't be until next fall. The only reason I wouldn't like that it's 10 episodes is not because it's less than half the length of the previous seasons, but it's because they're trying to fit about 40 chapters of the match into 10 eps. That's a pretty tall order since the most they've crammed into one episode is three chaps while keeping the story well paced. I hope it doesn't become erratic because there are less eps to spread out all the action. |
| 10 episodes is fine as long as you're expectations with the match between Karasuno and Shiratorizawa will be meet. I'm eagerly waiting for Tsukki's block. |

| Just wait, 5 episodes into the season and people will be complaining about the match being too long and how that the anime should proceed to the next match already. :) Edit: Not because the match will be boring or anything (I wouldn't know, having not read the manga) but because some people are just weirdly impatient when it comes to sports anime. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some of the chapters were just about 1 freaking point and not all of them were 20 pages long, so it will be okay... I guess. Yeah, but look at how they stretched out the plays just for that one point. You can bet that they're gonna make it just as dramatic in animation, so point gain per chapter or pages per chapter won't have much influence on material distribution per episode. If anything they might alter some of the material that was in the manga for the anime, like they did on the last episode of season 2. Well, if I'm wrong I just hope they do the manga and the previous seasons justice. |

| That's actually way too long... The problem with these sports anime is that it gets really repetitive...and basically the author can do whatever he wants to it. For a single match, that's like 200-300 minutes. Whereas an actual volleyball game would be like an hour at most. Ya there's prob going to be flashbacks and stuff leading up to it, but 10 episodes for this one arc...even though the first and second whole season only had 25 episodes each. 10 episodes honestly is just going to make the show worse imo. |
