| A game so complex and difficult it can literally kill you? And playing non stop for 4+ days, no breaks, no lunch, no sleep, no... toilet? For both the gamers and the "spectators" (who could not actually see them play; they just stood there)? That was probably the weirdest and most implausible episode yet, and the weirdness bar was already quite high. |

| It's funny to have "Gintama" voice actors popping up in this anime. Of course the girl also had to be voiced by the same VA as Kagura's. Of course. I went into this series honestly not expecting more than an anime I would watch in passing and not really think about again, but it's been a pleasant surprise so far especially with this episode (and I'm really liking the OP/ED songs and the soundtrack is not too shabby either). I like how out there the worldbuilding got and there's some nice character development with Klaus. All I knew going into this show was that it took place in Chicago and it looks like I was wrong about that. Wasn't even aware that this was by the same mangaka as "Trigun" but that'll be something I'll keep in mind from now on. |
