| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Looks like Kaiji got a good plan for getting his money back, good thing he figured out that Ohtsuki cheats, I wonder will they be fine with 1 cigarette per day, saving money is hard.. | Not much happened in this episode, but it will probably improve when they start gambling. The first arc of the first season was also kind of slow, after all. magiox said: but can someone explain to me how is that fat guy cheating? whats wrong with the dices? | Well, Most people won't remember me, but at the end of the first season i made a complaint. "What was the point of this show? From episode 1 to now, it had some great exciting moments, but in the end, the only thing that happened was him getting a larger debt. There was no progress and nothing important happened besides him meeting a few people" For a 26 episode series... that's pretty awful. And around comes this season, I'm thinking, good, I was wrong, it's going to continue the story, and around comes the first episode... And i was right. The first season is pointless. It's obvious kaiji has learned nothing, and in the end is no more skilled knowledgable or anything compared to the very first game of the first season. And he has a terrible personality, I can't even feel bad for him, because of how he acts and the things he does. He deserves his situation. After watching this episode, I'm left baffled. Kaiji is a completely unlikeable character. He continues to be pretty awful all around, and his plans are garbage. This one day gambling splurge he's aiming for is also unrealistic, because frankly, he's a terrible gambler, and it even shows him being a absolute LOSER when he was "free". I am going to keep watching this, i really hope it gets better and changes my opinion, but this episode... in fact all the episodes so far, feel like they are stretching out very little content over a long period of time. I thought DBZ was awful about still shots of faces and changes from person to person, or extreme slow motion(constantly), or "retakes" of different angles of the same action. |

Hmm, so Kaiji at this point should have no challenges. Now that would be a boring show. Kaiji is re-learning since he has not truly gambled since he got his ear and fingers cut off. How can be a horrible gambler when he is just an average person gambling finding out all the tricks. He found out the foreman's tricks, he is going to win and go to the 'next level'. That is how the show goes. He is not Akagi. |

| The narrator is probably my favorite character, just so great. Felt perhaps a bit dragged episode since I hoped to see more things happening but I'm intrigued by cheating conclusion and Kaiji teaming up + making up his mind. Now I'm eagerly looking forward to the explanation about dices... I have a couple of theories. |

| I hope they each put down 20000 perica on ohtsuki's turn as dealer then they make use of the rigged die and then role triple sixes. Oh wait Ohtsuki said the 20000 limit was for the other dealers. So I hope they put down 90000. |

| And with that said, Kaiji created the Inspirational League of Perpetual Penniless Losers xD I'm rooting for them to exploit Ohtsuki's one flaw in his dastardly cheating and devastate him~ Ohtsuki waddling in Perico and the Zawas playing right at the Proverb girl's thighs made me laugh a lot in this episode. |
