In his past life, Prince Lloyd de Saloum was a commoner who could not become adept at magic, no matter how knowledgeable or obsessed he was about it. Now reincarnated into his current royal lineage, he receives a body with seemingly endless mana, making his desire to master all things arcane attainable. Moreover, as the seventh prince of the kingdom, Lloyd has no claim to the throne, allowing him to nurture his abilities as freely as he wants.

Unfortunately for Lloyd, ancient seals that imprison powerful demons begin to break down and release the horrors within, endangering the peace. yep no doubt one of the best anime this season (my opinion ofc), yes theres no story or goal or whatever that should be in this show but the show only focus life of femboy magic maniac thats going all out having fun thats all soo think of it as a "slice of life" but put into action category,

after reaching this far watching this anime i realize the anime production in this are basically have same PASSION as mc in this show that likes magic SPECIALLY in fight scenes so they deserve higher rating than 8/10 BECAUSEEEE this is VERY rare nowadays ... that theres still people have passion when creating anime and thats make me happy honestly since most animes i watch nowadays dont have it anymore so the animation got also downgraded,

also im kinda aware about people being disappointed thinking it was girl mc when this anime was announce lol.

if everyone thinks this is bad show, i wont force them to change their opinion i mean from that alone i can tell their looking for a GOOD show with compelling story sht or whatever they want needed to become their favorite show,

look this is my advice for you, if you want to watch this show your mindset should be "watch to have fun" not "watch to find good show" cause this anime wasn't build for that, basically think of it as one punch man.

Mixed Feelings

Preliminary (10/12 eps)

This show is a hype machine it seems as every episode will focus on our main character figuring something out related to magic and giving you this feeling about scale of his power and potential outcome. For good ten episodes or so we are hyped up for this main event where this genius at everything magic-related will finally show us what he's made of... only for the whole thing to be an empty fart. And it's not even rancid fart which would give you a giggle while you ponder what you ate that could possibly give it that potency while you take another whiff to ... analyze. No. It's just wet and disappointing.

Am not even going to comment on art style in which, even though he is a male child, our protagonist has buttocks that would put to shame actresses in ads for all female fitness centers. All I will say as episodes came and passed artist became increasingly more lazy. Last episode were almost slideshows with a colorful dots zooming around.

All that said, I can't say I was disappointed. To a degree this is exactly what I was expecting. At points it looked promising but much. I'll probably complete watching it for completion sake, but it's a mixed bag. An average show without story or direction where things happen as a part of constant validation how powerful the MC is. That about sums it up.

This is slop to the highest degree.
For a fantasy anime this feels like bottom of the barrel stuff. Background noise at best.

It's not really engaging. It's a pretty show no doubt, but pretty doesn't fix boring. The pacing feels more than rushed. Not really giving you a good feel for what you would want. The start of episode one before the opening, fantastic. After that tho, dull. The fights look nice most of the time.

None of the characters have depth. That's it, Really. Tao just wants a boyfriend. Sylpha is his bodyguard/maid that only wants his affection. His brothers are one off tropes. ... The supporting cast feel like default premade characters in a game.

Story is always magically fixed by the little masochistic twat. There's just not much going for it. I don't think this show made me laugh or smile once. It doesn't focus on anything fantasy except for magic. The whole focus of this show is magic because that is what the Lloyd is interested in. Besides random info dumps from other characters, we are not experiencing anything.

I did want a nice goofy show to enjoy. This just wasn't it.
