A story of grief and personal growth. Fantasy. An near immortal shapeshifter learns what it means to be alive and human by taking on the form of friends that it makes across the centuries. Very moving.

You know what this is. Western set in space. Good characters, cool music and cinematography. A good pace between fast and exciting stories, and reflection.

Arthouse fantasy horror. Teenagers living in a society formed after the collapse of the world learn the conspiracies that form the world. Strong emotions can lead to psychic powers and sometimes people lose control and become monsters. A story of love, loss, and change. Very strong characterization of the teenagers, good world building with the monsters they have to interact with. Animation is beautiful with good cinematography but it is a little odd.

Long running show of personal growth and change. An orphaned, depressed teenager living with his grandparents discovers friendship and self worth. He finds a book of contracts with spirits and has to work as a spiritualist to help solve problems. He has great growth as a character as the story progresses.

A slow, moving story about growth, family, and meeting your potential. A sullen, teenage shogi champion makes friends with a family of girls and gradually learns to come out of his shell. Psychological as characters look at their feelings and how others are feeling. Great characters.

A slow reflection on grief, love, and family. Fantasy. An elf reflects on the relationships she had with her old party as she journeys with the students of her old or deceased friends. She is a great collector of kind magic and little joys in a world that often does not understand her. Story is fantastic and insightful into life, death, and personal growth. Action and music are great and keep the pacing up. Some of the characters follow established tropes - but the story is a reflection/ satire of other common fantasy stories.

A coming of age story of a teenage boy, trying to build his self esteem, while grappling with the psychic powers that he has. Broad cast of characters, with exciting action scenes.

thriller/melodrama/science fiction. Good story and animation with defined characters. Short. Naive alien comes to earth to spread happiness. Finds a suicidal middle school girl and tries to improve her life. Uses time travel when he fails. Story builds as it goes and brings in the lives of other struggling kids. Lots of strong emotion in the characters and their toxic relationships.

Melodrama/ historical fantasy. Trauamatized/autistic child soldier becomes a letter writer after the end of a war. Steampunk 1940s europe. Main character writes letters for people who cant read and learns what it means to be human. Violet builds relationships with her coworkers and clients and reflects on the relationship she had with a man she knew during the war. Beautiful reflection on love, loss, and change. Will probably make you cry.

Thriller. Two teenager boys plot a spree of terror attacks in japan. Good, action story that builds as it progresses.

Action/drama. A young viking boy grows and develops his place in the world. Complex characters. A story of revenge, redemption, and war. Great story that progresses across multiple years.

drama/ historical. The motivation and trials of eastern europeans trying to prove the earth revolves around the sun in a world that kills those who beleive so. In depth and philosophical about science, ego, and the search for truth. Story keeps a good pace by also including the story of the inquisistors trying to catch them, and the drama as they interact.

Fantasy comedy/drama/action. Adventurers eat the dungeon monsters as they try to rescue a lost party member. Good lively story. Lots of world building as they travel thorugh the dungeon, and discuss food and the ecology of the creatures in the dungeon. Fun and fresh.

Fantasy/drama/action. A bit game of thrones, a bit optimistic shonen. An optimistic deaf dwarf prince must reclaim his throne when it is stolen from him following his fathers death. Ends up on a grand adventure with a misunderstood shadow monster. Strong story that drives the whole way through. Creates great moments between the large variety of characters as they follow their own motivations for love, friendship, or greed.

Crime/drama/romance. An innocent teen boy gets meshed in a conspiracy and gang war when he falls in love with a brash confident gang member.

Comedy/action/family. Cold war europe. A spy, an assasssin, and a psychic child have to pretend to be a family for their own ends. They all fall in love and become a real family. Quick and lively with lots of heart.

Superhero Action/drama. A world of superheros in the social media age. The more you are trusted, the more power you get. Heroes compete to get to the top billing and the perks that come with it. Clash between optimism and cynicism as the desire to do good flies into corporate and celebrity culture. Follows the story of multiple characters as they strive to be heroes. Great relationships between complex characters. Story arcs follow different characters in an anthology. Fantastic animation that sometimes change styles.

Fantasy. Trope filled but a personal favorite. A naive, self assured, powerful witch teams up with a conscientious mercenary who hunts witches to stop a war driven by retribution and racism. Their relationship builds with warmth as the story goes on. First few episodes are very warm, shifts to a more drama tone later in the season as political elements come into play.

Action/fantasy. Some middle schooler students bond and have to fight aliens and ghosts. Relationships between characters is good. Proper cinematography. Good story and fight scences. Frenetic and exciting.

Scifi/mystery/crime. In the future, crime can be predicted based on emotions. How do the cops respond when the system does not work? How was the system built in the first place?
