i didn't want to add too many sports anime, but haikyuu!! genuinely introduced me to volleyball and got me interested in the sport.

i didn't know a single rule for it before i watched this

a great coming of age story with a really nice coach and student relationship.

the story revolves around ice skating, you learn a lot about the techniques and even the scoring system (in competitions) since the main character starts out as a complete rookie.

leans more into drama, but it does touch on the dark sides of the entertainment industry

• lots of high level cooking techniques and interesting ingredients
• leans a bit more into shounen battles + fanservice

• can't really speak to the legitimacy of this but they seem to be saying smart things
• approaches cooking with mathematical logic

about fishing (though i haven't watch it yet myself)
