Akiba's Trip The Animation

Vampiric cosplayers take over Akiba! Working with a bat wielding girl named Matome Mayonaka, Tomatsu Denkigai must overcome the source and return it to it's intended state!

Tomtasu is an impulsive kind of guy that is easily influenced by everything around him, but forms a strong bond with Matome to clear out all of the vampires and hunt down and eliminate the source of "the bugged ones" that plague the city. This is a fun story and you won't be bored (1 season, 13 episodes.)

Atri -My Dear Moments-

Atri is a high level AI that was made to keep a young girl company while her mother is busy trying to solve an impending rise of water levels at a catastrophic rate. Things go wrong and Atri is hidden away until the girl's son finds and reactivates her.

The story is really kind of sluggish and while Atri is an entertaining little girl, there are more problems that arise than solutions. After finally being able to establish a reason for her existence, she must fulfill a destiny to protect the people (1 season, 12 episodes.)

A Little Snow Fariy Sugar

Season Fairies create and control the weather using special musical instruments. They make the wind blow, the snow fall and the sun shine. Sugar is an apprentice fairy that has to make changes happen through what's called a "twinkle," but she doesn't know what that is. She teams up with a human girl named Saga to see if they can solve the mystery.

Cute, sweet, entertaining. This moe-lovers paradise (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Dan Da Dan

Momo believes in ghosts as her grandmother is a medium. Okarun is fascinated with aliens. Both of them doubt the other's beliefs are real and challenge each other to experience known sources of their beliefs - and sci-fi hilarity ensues.

The core of this story a comedy-fantasy that is executed brilliantly. Bright and quirky characters and a heart-melting lovestory make this show stand out plus excellent animation and music score make this A MUST WATCH! (2 seasons, 24 episodes.)

Dark Gathering

Keitarou has always been able to sense and see spirits around him. After becoming cursed along with his friend Eiko, he locks himself away. Finally, he returns to society as a college student and begins tutoring Eiko's cousin Yayoi, a strange girl that's very familiar with the spirit world and how to handle them.

This is PEAK HORROR. Every episode has suspense that will leave you hanging and unable to stop you from binging it. If you like horror, this is your show. It ended on a harsh cliffhanger, though, which leaves me begging for more! BE PREPARED AS THERE IS AN INTENSE AMOUNT OF GORE (1 season, 24 episodes, HIDIVE. Season 2 announced with no release date.)

Date-A-Live

Thirty years ago, the Eurasian continent was devastated by a supermassive "spatial quake" — a phenomenon involving space vibrations of unknown origin—resulting in the deaths of over 150 million people. Since then, these quakes have been plaguing the world intermittently, albeit on a lighter scale. Shido Itsuka must use his rare gift of sealing the spirit powers to eventually attempt to fix the world and the unrest that resides in it.

Great characters, a good story line and intermittently great animation through multiple seasons make this a good watch, but beware that some people may find the progression a little disappointing at times (5 seasons, 60 episodes.)

Delicious In Dungeon

Adventuring knight Laios and his party must return to the dungeon to save Marcille, their party member that was eaten by a red dragon. The problem? They're broke and can't afford food. Thankfully, they meet Senshi, a resident of the dungeon that is well versed in cooking the monsters within!

A fun cast, premise and story telling make this work. It thrives on the characters and their portrayals while handling some very good fantastical situations. A must watch (1 season, 24 episodes, season 2 announced, Netflix.)

Dungeon People

Clay is on a mission to find her adopted father, who disappeared in the dungeon. While fighting the 9th floor boss, a wall collapses, stopping the fight entirely and bringing the dungeon's administrator, Belle, to the scene. She defeats Clay in a battle and must not work for her!

The story here is great and getting to know the potentials of how a dungeon works is a great change to the usual story we get. Belle and Clay are a great complement and find a lot of meaning in each other. Definitely watch this (1 season, 12 episodes, HIDIVE.)

Immoral Guild

Kikuru wants to retire from adventuring as he feels his talents are wasted on the tasks there, but he has to train replacements first.

A LOT of nudity and sexual content. This is solely for those that like those things. There's no substance to it otherwise (1 season, 12 episodes, HIDIVE.)

I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I'll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time

Alina Clover becomes an adventurers' guild receptionist, believing that—unlike the adventurers who risk their lives every day to conquer dungeons, she will enjoy a safe and comfortable career. What she didn't realize is the copius amounts of overtime that would come with it. She decides to take matters into her own hands and eliminate the sources of it, taking out one boss at a time, all by herself!

Alina is a real treat when it comes to MCs. She's strong willed and has a biting personality, despite her innocent outward appearance. She has a sharp - and loose - tongue, so if cursing bothers you, you might want to skip this (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Bogus Skill <<Fruitmaster>>: About That Time I Became Able to Eat Unlimited Numbers of Skill Fruits (That Kill You)

At 16, teens eat a "skill fruit" to obtain a skill that will determine what their future career is. Light and Lena, childhood friends that have longed for this day, eat their fruits. Lena becomes a Sword Saint, while Light, who has longed to be a powerful adventurer, becomes a fruit master - the farthest thing from being one. Eating a second fruit is suppose to kil you, but he learns after accidentally eating another that he has an immunity to the death curse.

This is nothing special and it's incredibly boring. I don't blame you if you skip it (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Chaika -The Coffin Princess-

Chaika is traveling, trying to find the body parts of her defeated father, the taboo emperor Gaz. She meets up Tooru, an out of work saboteur and his "sister" Akari and they make their way out to help find his body - but they learn some very interesting things along that way that they never expected.

The story is unique and Tooru is a great MMC. Chaika, although childish and has broken language, is endearing and lovable in all ways - from her desire to accomplish her mission to simple day-to-day interactions. This is a good show to watch when you want something different (2 seasons, 22 episodes, HIDIVE.)

When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace

Ando is a chuunibyo that craves special powers. Along with the rest of Literature Club, a teacher's niece Chifyu and Kudo, an unexpected student that was also affected, they obtain special powers for some reason. Unfortunately for Ando, his power is useless.

Ando is one of the greatest MMCs in history. His chuuny behavior is a bit much, but he has a great heart that is strong from the beginning to the end. Unfortunately, the show didn't do as well as hoped and the light novels essentially faded into obscurity, so the show ends in a rather unsatisfactory way (1 season, 12 episodes. There is a dub, but the sub is all that's on CR.)

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun

Hanako is a school wonder that resides in the girls bathroom and is said to grant a wish to any student that asks, though at a price. Nene is desperate for love and thinks he may be able to help her, but things don't turn out the way she expected.

This is fun. Hananko is quirky, Nene is adorable and the rest of the cast really sells the story. Every episode is entertaining (2 seasons, 24 episodes with season 3 announced. There are 2 groups of shorts that SUCK.)

Little Witch Academia

Akko wants to be a witch and works her way into a school to learn to be one! However, she has little skill in most anything other than being annoyingly outgoing and selfish.

This was my first anime ever and while Akko's a lot to handle most of the time, everything works out nicely and the end of the first season really makes you want to keep watching (1 season 25 episodes and 2 movies.)

An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride

Zagan is a powerful sorcerer that learned under the tutilage of one of the 13 greatest sorcerers in the world after being taken in off the streets. When his mentor dies, he takes his place. Little did he realize that among his mentor's possessions to be auctioned off was Nephy, a rare elf girl. He immediately falls in love and spends everything he owns to purchase her.

This is a fantastic story. Zagan is a great guy, Nephy is truly sweet and their story unfolds in a wholesome and romantic way (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Chivalry Of A Failed Knight

Ikki Kurogane is considered a failed knight among his elite knight family. He spends his days at school honing his skills and becoming one of the best. He meets Stella Vermillion, a hot-headed princess who vows to become strong for her country. Despite and auspicious start, they're made to be roommates and their lovestory begins.

Stella is a tsundere and it's a bit annoying sometimes. Ikki's sister loves her brother a little too much. That development of the cast around them and a competition that they must participate in leads to some great scenes. There is nudity, so beware of that going in (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Beheneko: The Elf-Girl's Cat is Secretly an S-Ranked Monster!

A knight is killed and is reincarnated as an S-rank behemoth in the world he was killed in. He's a kitten in his natural form, almost being killed by an Earth Dragon right after he tries to leave the dungeon. An Elf girl named Aria saves him and becomes his master and names him Tama.

The action in this is surprisingly good and the characters are developed well to support the story. Aria is a little too interested in Tama at times, but it's not exactly a turn off, but more comedic when the lines are delivered. Be prepared for LOTS of HUGE naked boobies in every episode (1 season, 12 episodes, HIDIVE.)

Miss Shachiku and the Little Baby Ghost (SUB only)

Miss Shachiku is an overworked corporate slave. A baby ghost does her best to try to scare her into going home, but inadvertantly causes Shachiku to fall in love with her and takes her home. Other ghosts appear and the wholesomeness ensues.

Need something to make you feel all warm and fuzzy? This is it (1 season, 12 episodes.)

Banished From The Hero's Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside

Gideon is banished from his sister's hero's party by Aries, one of the members lying to him about being trouble for the party's success. Aries tells the rest of the party that Red left voluntarily without saying a word. Gideon, now posing as "Red," settles in Zoltan, a quiet town and opens an apothecary with the help of the princess Rit of the neighboring city of Loggervia.

Season 1 is great - lots of action, wholesomeness, a beautiful love story with Red and Rit. Season 2 needs to be written off as a "why did they make this?" (2 seasons, 12 episodes.)

A Certain Scientific Railgun

The student-filled Academy City is at the forefront of scientific advancement and home to the esper development program. The seven "Level 5" espers are the most powerful in Academy City, and ranked third among them is middle schooler Mikoto Misaka, an electricity manipulator known as "The Railgun."

The characters are really quite entertaining and the showmanship of all of the special powers among the students is well demonstrated, but by the time I reached the end of the first season, I was bored. There are an extensive number of installments to this series plus a new season coming, so keep an eye out for it.

Call of the Night

Kou is a middle school boy that can't sleep. He sneaks out of his house every night and wanders the streets, where he meets the vampire Nazuna. He thinks that becoming a vampire is the ultimate answer to his problems, but learns there's a lot more to it than what it seems.

The story to this is unique and both Kou and Nazuna have strong voice performances with a great group of side-characters. The art style and soundtrack are peak. Watch this at least once (2 season, 24 episodes.)

A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!

Following a bad experience teaching at a public high school that resulted in a break from working, Haruaki Abe eagerly takes up a new job at Hyakki Academy. Despite his cowardice, the novice teacher is motivated to do better this time around. Little did he know, it's a school for yokai, which he is terrified of!

This is a bunch of fun nonsense. Good comedy, a good cast of characters and Abe-sensei's devleopment as a person shines (1 season, 24 Episodes.)

Dream Eater Merry

Yumeji Fujiwara has the ability to see people's dreams, though never clearly. One day, a unusual day dream persists and he subsquently meets Merry, a dream eater that devours evil dream spirits.

This show doesn't get enough credit as it deserves. The concept is unique, the story plays out in an interesting way and you'll really be bewitched by how great Yumeji and Merry are together. Don't miss out on this gem (1 season, 12 episodes, HIDIVE.)

Beast Tamer

The hero's party kicks out Reine, a beast tamer that they see as worthless. With nowhere to go or anything to do, he registers as an adventurer and meets up with many ultimate species, forming contracts with them.

I found a lot more enjoyment in this one affter a re-watch. Things just roll together smoothly and as each new ultimate species contracts with him, he learns he's not just an average tamer (1 season, 13 episodes.)
