Toshiki Hirano is a Japanese anime director, animator, and character designer. His wife is a fellow animator and manga artist Narumi Kakinouchi. Some of his works have appeared in the adult manga magazine Lemon People.

His directorial debut OVA Fight! Iczer One was a project that he and his friend Aran Rei brought to Kubo Shoten, and it became a hit that turned into a series. In the latter half of the 1980s, he directed OVAs for enthusiasts such as Dangaioh, Hades Project Zeorymer, and Daimajū Gekitō: Hagane no Oni, and gained a strong fan base.

Since the 1990s, he has been active as an animation director based at Tokyo Movie, where his Devil Lady, which combines elements of tokusatsu, splatter, horror, and action like Iczer One, was well received. He is also one of the original collaborators of his wife Narumi Kakinouchi's representative works, Vampire Princess Miyu series and Fūun San Shimai LIN series.

The OVA series is based on a sci-fi horror and yuri manga created by Aran Rei published in the hentai magazine Lemon People. However, the anime goes beyond the original manga's storyline. This is Toshiki Hirano's directorial debut.
Haja Taisei Dangaiou

The OVA series was created and directed by Toshiki Hirano, with mechanical designs by Shoji Kawamori, and animation direction by Masami Ōbari. It was cancelled after just three episodes of its planned run due to poor sales and a storyline that ended on a cliffhanger.
Daimajuu Gekitou: Hagane no Oni

The one-shot OVA was directed by Toshiki Hirano with animation direction by Masami Ōbari. It was originally planned as a remake of the TV anime Mazinger Z called Daimajin Ga, but due to various circumstances, production was cancelled.
Kyuuketsuhime Miyu

The OVA series was created by character designer Narumi Kakinouchi and director Toshiki Hirano in parallel with the manga series of the same name. It launched a multimedia franchise.
Project Zeorymer

The OVA series is based on a manga series written by Yoshiki Takaya, and published in the adult manga magazine Lemon People. Directed by Toshiki Hirano, the anime tones down the explicit sexual content and deviates entirely from the manga storyline and setting.
Bouken! Iczer 3

The OVA series was created following the success of the Iczer-3 CD Drama. It is the sequel to Fight!! Iczer One, both being directed by Toshiki Hirano.
Magic Knight Rayearth

The TV series is an adaptation of the manga series created by CLAMP. It was directed by Toshiki Hirano of Fight! Iczer One fame. The anime had 2 seasons and aired a total of 49 episodes. The first season stayed pretty faithful to the manga, maintaining its humorous tone. However, the second season deviates significantly from the manga despite incorporating the basic ideas from it.

The OVA series was created by Toshiki Hirano, director of the original Fight! Iczer One and Iczer Reborn series. It was also made into a radio drama series to served as a bridge between Iczer-3 and Iczelion.
Kakugo no Susume

The OVA series is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Takayuki Yamaguchi and was directed by Toshiki Hirano. It was planned to have ten episodes, but was canceled after the completion of the second episode. The reasons for the OVA's cancellation are currently unknown.
Rayearth

The OVA series has an alternate plot compared to the manga and TV series that uses the same characters, but is inserted in a different context. It is an original story independent of the series under the supervision of director Toshiki Hirano.
Kyuuketsuhime Miyu (TV)

The TV series is the second anime adaptation of the multimedia franchise, created by character designer Narumi Kakinouchi and director Toshiki Hirano. It is an alternate retelling of the original OVA series, and is closer to the manga version.
Devilman Lady

The TV series was directed by Toshiki Hirano and written by Chiaki Konaka. It is based on the manga series of the same name by Go Nagai, although the anime's storyline differs from the manga.
Haja Kyosei G Dangaiou

The TV series was created by director Toshiki Hirano as the sequel to the 1987 OVA Dangaioh. It was originally intended to be 26 episodes long, but was cancelled halfway due to poor reviews and low ratings.
Kikou Sennyo Rouran

The TV series is based on a draft by director Toshiki Hirano and screenwriter Shou Aikawa. Each episode of the anime is approximately 12 minutes long.
Angel Heart

The TV series follows the first 18 volumes of the manga series of the same title written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo. Angel Heart shares the same characters as City Hunter , but according to the author, it is not a continuation of it, since they take place in different universes.

Fist of the North Star: The Legends of the True Savior is a series of three anime films based on the manga Fist of the North Star written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara. The films are updated re-imaginings of the events depicted in the manga, and include additional details, new characters and minor alterations to some events.

The first film specifically adapts the Holy Emperor story arc from the manga.
