no/little sexualization, or plot explains why it is included
Manga
So I wanted to watch Magical Index franchise and started with Railgun: barely 5 minutes in there is massive sexualization of kids. Just revolting, I just closed it. It is sadly very common and at times not particularly noticeable due to being desensitized by years of anime watching.
I will add notes on works that are "safe" for watching, with the top of the list being zero sexualization and later works that despite mature content are at least giving excuse to such themes present.
The list doesn't strictly mean manga, in many cases it is anime. I will separate in two lists later.

Main character is an adult, while most of the cast is kids.
Zero sexualization, relationships show as healthy and parent-kid, no romantic undertones like it often goes with age difference of main cast.

the premise is a total bait!! I personally avoided the title because of it for a very long time.
It is probably the only anime example where the character has an actual reason to wear skimpy suit (but it is a spoiler, so watch for yourself).

There are mature themes in the story, but it is shown in a healthy way, not sexualized way: just a romantic relationship progressing (the story leans into horror though, so it is not a rom com).
Art is very simplistic. Characters do not feel sexualised, no exaggerated camera angles etc, even when the mature elements are shown.
The work is super underrated.

sadly right off bat steins gate suffer from a lot of fanservice, and it can be off-putting for new watchers.
BUT it is the rare case when it plays a significant role in the story (would be a spoiler to explain, but related to characters downplaying their trauma).
I only watched anime and read visual novel, not sure what manga shows.
the story itself is a classic sci-fi worth being "watch before you d1e" anime lists.
