Because it’s my final year at art school and I’m going to need it. I feel like these titles would be useful for anyone in a similar position, who wants to read something that will push you forewords to keep trying and trying!
They’re motivating in many different ways, from how the discuss art, how they are drawn, etc etc.
Blue Period
Manga, ? vol, 2017 Me:- Author:9
Realistic depiction of how it feels to be an artist, and the struggles it brings.
Primarily set in art school.
Hidamari Sketch
Manga, ? vol, 2004 Me:- Author:8
A more pastiche and cutesy look at learning art, it’s wholesome and fluffy with how it approaches creativity. The sweetness itself is motivational.
Tongari Boushi no Atelier
Manga, ? vol, 2016 Me:- Author:9
The insanely detailed artwork and panelling is really motivating.
Shimanami Tasogare
Manga, 4 vol, 2015 Me:- Author:10
The visual communication of themes, and depiction of topics in an abstract manner.
Hikaru ga Shinda Natsu
Manga, ? vol, 2021 Me:- Author:9
Like the above, the showing of themes via abstracted visuals is really admirable,
Haikyuu!!
Manga, 45 vol, 2012 Me:- Author:10
Hinata’s journey with volleyball is highly applicable elsewhere, in my opinion.
