Hokusai is one of the most famous masters of Japanese prints, author of "The Great Wave of Kanagawa." After living 42 years as Souri Tawaraya, the artist decides to take the name of Hokusai in order to create a new and unique style, but in doing so he becomes a stranger in his own domain... Hokusai will have to struggle to find his place, live and impose the style that amazed Japan and the world

This comic was written and illustrated by Shotaro Isinomori, one of Japan's most famous comic book creators. It was originally serialized in Nintendo Power Magazine. The first of 12 parts appeared in January 1992 (Volume 32) and the series ran through December 1992. It was published in book form in 1993. The series takes place in a world plagued by Shocker, a mysterious world-wide terrorist organization formed by remaining members of the Nazis.
