I put 1 entry per show; I don't like to rate shows by seasons.
The order matters. However, just because one show is above another show doesn't inherently mean it is a "better" show. I don't like shows for how good they are; I like shows for how meaningful they are to me.

#2 - My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (Oregairu)
Rating: High 9 to a 10
Oregairu unironically changed me as a person. It changed the way I see people, the way I interact with people, and the reasons why I could interact with people. The way we see Yukino, Hachiman, and Yui live out this chapter of their youth was such a journey despite the majority of it taking place in a high school classroom.
The characters of this show resonated with me in a way that no other show has done. Yui's fear of losing her friendships, Yukino's pursuit towards independence, and Hachiman's bitter attitude towards reality-- those things are merely just scratching the surface of characteristics that made me feel so attached to them. These characters aren't so simple that I can boil them down into a few words; I could write pages upon pages about them if I really wanted to. They felt so authentic and human despite being pretty anime characters.
Overall, a beautiful show with a beautiful message. However, I do think Oregairu is heavily misunderstood by the Hachiman wannabes who misunderstand what all of season 1 was trying to do.

#3 - Steins;Gate
Rating: High 9 to a 10
Spoiler warning...
If someone every asked me "If you could erase your memory of a show and rewatch it for the first time, what show would it be?", I would undoubtedly pick this show. There is no show that will change my mind, none that I've already watched and none that I haven't watched. I am that confident that this show will always be that answer for me. Funnily enough, I actually almost dropped Steins;Gate like 4 episodes in, but I thank my past self for deciding to just stick with it. I'd so as far as to say that continuing this show was probably one the best decisions I've ever made in my life.
Kurisu and Okabe's romantic relationship is one of my favorite relationships in all of anime, despite the fact that this isn't a romance show. It really amazed me that the writers who intended to create a story about time travel somehow wrote one of the greatest romantic storylines I've seen in anime in the process (which is also coming from a guy who has watched a LOT of romance anime). They didn't try to force this relationship down our throat; they seriously nurtured and developed this relationship over the course of the entire show, piece by piece, bit by bit. They gradually went from genuinely disliking each other to being willing to quite literally sacrifice their lives for each other (Kurisu accepting her death for the sake of Okabe's happiness, and Okabe choosing to get stabbed and him nearly bleeding out to death MERELY for the sake of FAKING Kurisu's death), all of which happening within the span of 24 episodes. I hadn't realized how emotionally invested I was until they kissed, which made the weight of the entire situation really crush my heart (not that it hadn't before, but this was more so the crushing feeling of having to accept the reality of the situation).
(still gonna write more when i'm more motivated)

#4 - A Silent Voice
Rating: High 9
This is my favorite movie of all time. Despite the fact that I'm not deaf nor was I severely bullied during my childhood, this movie still felt like such a personal experience to me. Depression and social anxiety is something that gets completely misconstrued in the media, but A Silent Voice does such a phenomenal job at portraying how subtle depression truly is and how debilitating social anxiety is. It also doesn't treat Nishimiya's disability as a "plot device," but rather a part of Nishimiya that is undoubtedly her identity. They took the time to truly explore what it was like to be deaf and to explain how isolating it can be in a world where most people don't know how to communicate with you.
The production, direction, and sound production of the film only serves to elevate that experience. The ambience those things created cumulatively captured the beauty of their world and the relationship between Nishimiya and Ishida. I would pay good money to see a continuation of their story, but even if that'll never happen, I still think that the movie's end is such a beautiful thing. It taught me that to truly appreciate the beauty of this world, I must be willing to connect with the people within it.

#9 - The Dangers in My Heart
Rating: Low 9
When the anime first got announced, I was worried about how well the manga would get adapted as a lot of romance manga don't get proper adaptations. To be completely honest, I didn't even expect it to get adapted. I loved the manga but didn't see how it could get adapted without losing the charm the art style brought to it.
However, all of my worried went away from the first episode alone. The art, the animation, the voice acting, and the soundtrack all blew me the fuck away. I remember this having below a 7 on MAL when it came out, and I can understand why-- but it climbing from a 6.7 to an 8.25 and with season 2 having an 8.83 shows truly how amazing the anime becomes after the first couple of episodes. Even though I knew what was going to happen in the anime (especially since I've reread the manga a few times), I was immersed in every scene that was on the screen. The anime gave so much life to this manga and I'm so happy that the adaptation was as amazing as it was.
