BL visual novel manga adaptations
Manga
Spoilers: overall they're better than anime, but the bar is so low...
Most of them even keep their BL elements!
Note: arranged in order of visual novel releases.
Not found on MAL:
Slow Damage(2020) - adaptation of chapter 1 of vn and is a good introduction of the newcomers.
Slow Damage Clean Dishes(2021) - adapatation of intro for SD's spin-off mobile game. Can also be used as an introduction, even if you didn't play the main game(but you should).

Adaptation of the first Sukishou VN. BL elements are toned down, but still present. While rushed and a bit confusing, it's a good alternative to the source material.

Most of Gakuen Heaven's manga adaptations are route focused and much more faithful to the original game. Very short, but they manage to adapt all key moments from routes. Recommended for people who liked the anime or the game.
This is an adaptation of Niwa's route.

Those "Character Story" mangas are anthologies and are focused on fanservice. This one is focused on Nakajima x Keita.

Hard to find info on this one, but it's probably focused on Endou x Keita.

Starts off with much longer prologue and than adapts Endou's route(but it turns all romance into friendship). Gives enough screentime to the rest of the cast. Sadly ending is rushed and feels incomplete due to the removal of BL elements. For hardcore Gakuen Heaven fans only.

One volume compilation of vn's "best moments"(no NSFW scenes). Best artstyle among other TnC manga adaptations, but otherwise pointless.

Much better adaptation compared to anime, utilizing multiple PoV and giving enough screentime for everyone on the main cast. Artstyle can be too minimalistic at times. BL elements are hinted at, but never felt confirmed.
Sadly, the manga was axed. I would still recommend it, but only to fans of the source material.

Based on PS2 version(15+ age rating) of the game, featuring a new character named Yukihito. Hard to find much info about it.

This adaptation is just a barebones ad for the source material and english publisher Sublime dropped it after 2nd volume. Pass on this one.

Skips the starting hours of the source material and focuses only on character introduction. Captures game's aesthetics decently, but too short to even get to the BL part. For hardcore Lamento fans only.

This adaptation removed BL elements completely. Rather than focusing on any routes, it's focused on the protagonist, Gian. The rest of the cast is portayed fairy well. Can be used as an introduction to the game.

Manga is focused on Neil's route. While obviously rushed, it carries the atmosphere and original characterization well. Can be used as an introduction to the game.

Too short to tell much of a story, the artstyle is strange. For hardcore DMMD fans only.

An anthology focused on adapting bad & good endings of Iori's route. Personally I only liked the last chapter because it focused on Iori's motives and backstory instead of porn with no context.
It's better than anime, but it's not saying much. For hardcore Taishou Mebiusline fans only.

The only Gakuen Heaven 2 manga adaptation, focuses on Tomo's route. Art and character interactions are good, but the pacing is a problem as always. Can be used as an introduction to the game, recommended to the fans of the first game/anime too. Sad to see we never got adaptations of other routes.
