1900 -1930s america, mafia, talks about being mixed race and the racial tensions at the time and also the great deperession, somewhat dark and tragic but it's also kinda beautiful.

the family-dynamics and the back-story of the characters are mildly tragic.

starts off very wholesome and gets quite real in the middle.

both of the main characters’ backstories are pretty tragic

actually a lot darker & more tragic than what it seems. workplace enemies to lovers romace. nsfw.

(anezaki-san isn’t the best guy/boss in the world but he goes through too much here.)

a melancholic love triangle. the boys struggle a fair bit with homophobia and bullying though :(

not sure if this belongs here kind of, but the back story is a little tragic, and the midway point is too, but these two are idiots

manages to toe the line between fiction and reality in a very cool way. a good mix of talking about family circumstances, sexuality, and gender.
