Super Robot Wars W Roster
Anime
These are the anime that appear in Super Robot Wars W for DS.
This is often considered one of, if not the best written Super Robot Wars game, and is a personal favourite of mine.

Endless Waltz, surprisingly, gets more or less fully adapted here. You won't see any Leos, but other than that, it's good coverage.
TV, 2002,
50 eps

Gundam SEED is treated very strangely here, mostly taking place in the background until the final battle. J already did it all, anyway, so whatever.
TV, 1996,
26 eps

Nadesico gets adapted quite well in this game, although not in as much detail as a couple of past games did. It's still a decent showing.

Nadesico's movie gets its best showing in Super Robot Wars to date, with this game doing the entire story better than the movie did. It's kind of stunning, actually.

Tekkaman Blade is back for a second appearance in Super Robot Wars, and though it's more condensed than how J handled it, it still more or less tells the entire story, though mixes it with...

...Tekkaman Blade II, which gets fully adapted and merged into its predecessor. In fact, this game handles the story better than the anime itself did.

Orgun's only Super Robot Wars appearance sees it fully adapted, and yet again, this game does this anime's story better than the anime itself did, with massively expanded detail regarding its lore and character backstories.

Full Metal Panic is adapted mostly well, hitting every key story event. I can't complain about this.
TV, 2003,

Like...two stages from this show appear. And a couple of mecha. Mascots? Whatever.
TV, 2005,
13 eps

The Second Raid is adapted too, though it leads to the Full Metal Panic plot having no ending, since The Second Raid had no ending. Otherwise, it's adapted well.
OVA, 2001,
7 eps

Mazinkaiser's story in this game feels very rushed, it hits two or three of the key story events and then it's over.

This OVA gets two stages. Oh well.

GoLion, in its only Super Robot Wars appearance, gets fully covered here, and fully integrated into the overall story. It's actually pretty impressive, which is far more than this absolute trash deserves.
TV, 1997,
49 eps

GaoGaiGar is another show to be fully adapted in this game, though if you ask me, it's adapted too much, as it seems to gobble up entire chunks of the game at times, with multiple stages in a row being dedicated to GaoGaiGar. I guess that's cool if you're a big GaoGaiGar fan.
OVA, 2000,
8 eps

GaoGaiGar Final gets the full treatment in this game, with every character and unit appearing, and massively expanding the story, fixing the large amount of plot holes the OVA suffers from. Another example of this game telling a story better than its own anime did.
