Light Yagami is like any regular teenage student. He goes to school, and goes home afterwards. But he realizes the wrong in the world today. Murders, robbery, ect. But what he wasn't expecting was to find a book that could possibly change everything. Light notices directions on the inside of the book that states that by just thinking of someone and writing their name on one of the pages could kill them within seconds. Light decides he is going to try to change the world and starts targeting criminals by writing their names in the book. But what he thought was a good idea can either bring him to his death or make him an idol. But a detective is determined to stop Light no matter what the consequences may be. The detective goes by the name "L."

Animation:

I would say, the lighting in the anime does set a dark mood, which goes along greatly with the storyline. But I believe, and most will agree, most people who watch this anime are watching it because of the character "L." Of course, he is cute, but thats not the only thing that made the anime so great.

Main Characters

Light Yagami: A teenage student that wants to create a "new world." I didnt exactly like his God complex, but others may disagree.

L: A detective that rarely shows his face to anyone in fear of putting his life in danger, but is willing to risk anything to catch the murderer "Kira" (aka. Light). In my opinion he was very comedic and was definatly mine and most others favorite character.


Overall thoughts:

In short, Death Note is an amazing anime. But i will say this, don't just watch it because of L. I realize he is the top loved character, but with him aside, the story is interesting and Kept me hooked on it until the end. Highly recommend this anime........ :)
