I must say that i am not a die hard fan of animes that involve historical figures and change some facts with the help of fantasy,but Basilisk was,in my opinion,truly awesome.Why?Well,it has some really kick ass graphic,the characters are well designed and the background is astonishing.Another thing that really surprised me when I watched it was that the action starts immediately,it doesn't offer you time to get bored of it and you instantly feel like you want to know what is going to happen next,which was really exciting.

woman and a man love each other but they cannot be together because of the hatred between families,but this action filled cliche offers something more.Once the pact was nullified between the villages,only Iga became aware of the situation and gave the anime some funny moments too by not letting their "new chief in charge" find out about it and trying to kill as many kougas as they can.I think i would've enjoyed more a love story that evolves by the end of the anime.
The characters are very different from each other and you learn about their lives,secrets,feelings and their relationship with the others,which will make you sympathize with both clans and maybe shed some tears when they are finally killed.
Overall,Basilisk is an amazing anime which I'm really surprised that it doesn't appeal more to the viewers.I recommend it whole-heartedly to all of the ninja and action lovers and I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed..

Asu no Yoichi a.k.a Samurai Harem is an ecchi harem martial arts comedy series that isn't great but it is kind of entertaining. I may not be a big fan of harem series but I don't mind ecchi if it's not over the top. Despite being having harem right in the title, you don't really get an actual sense of a harem forming in this series. Yoichi being the main character, he isn't really an important person but the fact that he has Ibuki's attention gives him some worth in this series. Really Ibuki, the oldest of the Ikaruga sisters is the most important character in Asu no Yoichi as the MC's rival and the antagonist are in love with her and the development of her sisters revolve around her in some way. Eventually you begin to feel that Yoichi is really nothing but an obstacle put in place for cock-blocked related comedy and ecchi scenes.
The most interesting character development in Asu no Yoichi will be Ayame attempting move from under her older sister, Ibuki's shadow. Everything else is pretty much fanservice in some way shape or form with the comedy being kind of bland and the action scenes being interrupted by nosebleeds. The one thing that doesn't mean anything to the plot but it really stands out is the strange shrinking of Torigaya which is never explained and becomes even more strange in the last episode. Speaking of which, the last episode was horrible. I really wanted an answer for Torigaya's weird shrinking but oh well. In the end, there isn't really anything special or note worthy about Asu no Yoichi but I guess if you're looking for an ecchi martial arts series with a poor attempt at a construction of harem, you might want to check this series out...

I'm really torn when writing this review. I feel like this anime could be absolutely amazing, because it is, and yet it isn't. For starters it needs to have about 50 more episodes. I feel like the creators intended a very long series and had to wrap everything up very quickly.
Story 6/10
The story is pretty interesting and has a lot of potential, however there were just too many plot lines brought up and left hanging. There are concepts that are simply short-lived and there are incidents that happen on the basis that it will be explained later...but they never get around to it. The whole

idea of this badass kid trying to fit in like a normal person and not being able to because he's so badass is just great. But there are about fifty other things going on that tend to take away from the "main plot". Like I said before, if the series had more episodes and could be spread out a little more, than I don't think this would be a problem. The setting of a dying world with moving cities run by electronic fairies is pretty neat, but there again is a whole story (especially the Haikizoku) that is never really clearly explained or resolved. You've also got the 11/12 Heaven's Blade receivers that are never really introduced, the whole story going on with the queen and Leerin, the whole story with Leerin and Layfon, the inter-platoon relations, Layfon's past, Nina's past, Layfon's many relationships with many young women, Nina and Dick and Saya, the Psyharden, oh and the ongoing search for Selenium which again is kind of a fuzzy topic. Plus, you never really get an explanation for the black and white, semi-TV show/might be another world story with absolutely awful English that interrupts the show every episode.
Animation 8/10
The animation is pretty sweet. The fight scenes with kei and dites are really fun to watch and I really enjoyed the animation for using kei by itself to increase speed, throw up a shield etc... There were a few scenes with simple face panning and then simply sword to sword meeting that dropped the rating of this category overall, but I did really enjoy most of the fight scenes.
Sound 7/10
I don't usually pay much attention to sound quality and such, it's only when a track annoys me that I tend to rate this category differently.
Characters 9/10
I rated this category pretty high but for a just reason, most of the characters are just great. Layfon alone could run the show for me. He's goofy and awkward and turns into a ridiculous fighting machine. However, you never can really gauge the power level of Filth Monsters from Layfon. One minute he's cutting through hundreds of them and the other minute he's taking days to defeat one. I realize there are different stages and such, but I also feel like maybe that classification got thrown out towards the end when they are trying to wrap everything up. But that aside, Layfon was a pretty legit main character and it made me sad to see how awesome he could be (in the last episode) and know that I wouldn't get to see anymore. Nina was kind of a downer to me, but she never really annoyed me or anything. Her fighting style is pretty cool and her whole story with the fairies and such could have been a neat side plot. Felli was another favorite. Her powers and attitude towards Layfon made her a very likeable character. The other platoon members and students were also, for the most part, pretty interesting. You only get a few episodes with the big guns from Grendan, which was upsetting because some of them looked pretty friggin sweet.
Overall 8/10
A little above average is the perfect way to describe the series as a whole unfortunately. Like I said before, so much potential! Don't get me wrong, it's definitely worth watching but just don't expect any closure of any form. I'm hoping that the series will get picked back up again someday and someone can help it reclaim its full potential.

It was an okayish kinda goodish anime, know what I mean.
The main character was kinda interesting seeing as he felt like a normal extra anime and gaming nerd. Wasn't that likeable though.
The story is what was really interesting and could have been a great thing but the execution was not good. And being a 12 episode anime, it took way tooo long to start things up and then wrapped everything up in a rush.
I really was interested in the first few episodes and was really wanting to see where the story was heading but sadly, it didn't pan out well.

than the main character, no other character was given any real closure or development. It was just feeling like a typical Harem.
Overall all, I would say, it was an Ok anime with some good parts in it...:)

This show is about a high school student named Yakumo who has the ability to see spirits with his left red eye and sometimes communicate with them(not a super original premise, but highly entertaining nontheless). He spends his spare time tricking kids out of their money with fake card tricks, or just sleeping about. But, once in a while, he'll take a spirit associated police case that has piqued his interest. But with his troubled family past and issues with humanity, will Yakumo ever be able to live a normal life?
STORY: (9/10)
While not an entirely original premise, they definitely utilized it to it's full potential,

much more effectively than many other similar shows. The story basically has everything a good anime needs: A complex main character with a troubled background, a helpful and insightful love interest, a devoted detective, and ghosts. Really, that's all they needed here, but they added even more into the mix to give it an added level of depth and enjoyability.
Yakumo's disturbed background piqued my interest in him, and also apparently the interest of those around him. But the best part isn't when they discuss Yakumo, but when Yakumo discusses with the accused how he knows that they are guilty. With pounds of accurate speculation, Yakumo presents his inner monologue better than even Yagami Light of Death Note.
He solves murders, abductions, and even poltergheist possesion, making for an interesting watch.
ANIMATION: (9/10)
What can I say, it suits the series. It's dark and forboding when it's supposed to be, and bright and happy when it's supposed to be. Also, although not littered with fight scenes, when they pop up in Shinrei Tantei Yakumo, it looks damn realistic. The character designs aren't the most original I've ever seen, but I suppose that look best suits their personalities.
When it comes to animation, this show did it right.
SOUND: (9/10)
To be honest, the opening theme represents the show so well I was actually considering making this review simply a link to it on YouTube or something. The opening theme is truly fitting, and the ending just as much so. The voice acting was just as it should be to match the theme of the show, and the background noise/music was never out of place.
Once again, a 2010 show did animation and sound well.
CHARACTERS: (9.5/10)
Although sometimes the main love interest (Haruka) can be absent minded occasionally, every other character plays their role perfectly.
Both of Yakumo's parents are dead, and he has always been shunned or even beaten up due to his red left eye.
Later you find out that Yakumo and Haruka's past goes back further then either of them thought, giving their relationship and added level of depth.
What I absolutely love about their relationship though is that there is no stupid blushing, and the girl is simply trying to help the guy, which is a refreshing change of pace seeing as most anime series these days have the protagonist being an emotionally immature nitwit who freaks out at the sight of anything related to women.
In this show, Yakumo doesn't express any feelings for her at all, and instead simply allows her to tag along, while she is trying to help him in dealing with his troubled past. It's obvious they are concerned about eachother and harbor feelings, but the best part is that it's successfully conveyed without either character being awkward or embarassed in any way.
The supporting characters also offer comic relief and intel on future missions, as well as being occasionally super adorable(I just wanna give his deaf little cousin a hug for being so cute

WHY YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS: First and foremost, for the action scenes. The fights consist primarily of well-choreographed hand-to-hand, with the flashy special attacks mixed in rather than dominant. Coupled with the two-on-two setup, this makes for plenty of exciting battles. Clearly this is Kurokami's strong point, enhanced by strong animation and the rock-style soundtrack. Also, though none of the characters could claim to be deep or complex, the main pair is a refreshing change from the contract mold. Kuro is not a seasoned vet, but rather wet-behind-the-ears with only her training to go on. And though Keita does threaten to be a typical whiny

male lead at first, before long he comes to fully embrace his role, including (gasp) actually being useful in battle.
CONCERNS: The plot, while not bad per se, is fairly unspectacular. The "doppeliner system" turns out to be little more than a gimmick, and most of the developments can be seen a mile away. It does do its job in allowing for plenty of fights though, and unlike many manga-based series Kurokami comes to a full conclusion. Besides that, I'd be remiss not to warn that battles usually start out with unbelievably cheesy "synchro" sequences, straight out of a mahou shoujo or super sentai show. Not really a big deal, but it will irk some people.
PSA: There is often relevant content after the end credits of each episode, so be sure to watch for it. I found myself feeling a bit lost at the start of each ep until I figured that out.
SUMMARY: I like to say that all an action series needs to be good entertainment is strong animation, music, and fight scenes. Kurokami is certainly a success on that front, and the plot and characters are just decent enough to keep from dragging down... And lastly, ending is FAIR...

STORY:
There wasn't really much of a story to dog days. Some random guy got ported into a world full of dogs and cats, where they have friendly or not so friendly battles with eachother just for the sake of having battle(and money)(while typing that, a strange image of america came up with me, I don't know why). This kind of story has been done before, and it just had nothing new in itself(except for the cat and dog girls. Oh, there were guys as well, sometimes, in the background). So no a high score on the story part.
ANIMATION:
Dog days was very colorful, which I liked

a lot. Because dog days is all about happy battles that sort of style suited it perfectly. I also liked it that the main characters were 10 times more detailed unimportant random battle dudes, who all had the same face.
SOUND:
Barely passed the grade on this part, the characters all sounded way too squeaky. The opening song was very forgetable as well. As was the ending song. I guess I must´ve liked the ambiance to still give it a passing grade on the sound.
CHARACTERS:
First of all: There were just too many. The serie had like 3 main characters and 50 billion side characters. I had the feeling that the characters which actually had an expression on their face should've played some part in the plot, but just didn't. They did get some lines of text, just enough to make me interested, but not enough to satisfy me. And the main characters story sucked big time.
OVERALL:
Dog days was a very lighthearted series, which I liked at the time of watching. After looking back though, I noticed that there wasn't all that much going on, and that it completely lacked any sort of progress in the story(other than some characters liking each other more and more. Yea, what else is new?). So if you want to have some eye candy in the form of cat girls which doesn't require your brain to digest: Go for it. Just don't look back on it later.... :)

Light Yagami is like any regular teenage student. He goes to school, and goes home afterwards. But he realizes the wrong in the world today. Murders, robbery, ect. But what he wasn't expecting was to find a book that could possibly change everything. Light notices directions on the inside of the book that states that by just thinking of someone and writing their name on one of the pages could kill them within seconds. Animation:
I would say, the lighting in the anime does set a dark mood, which goes along greatly with the storyline. But I believe, and most will agree, most people who watch this anime are watching it because of the character "L." Of course, he is cute, but thats not the only thing that made the anime so great.
Characters:
Main Characters
Light Yagami: A teenage student that wants to create a "new world." I didnt exactly like his God complex, but others may disagree.
L: A detective that rarely shows his face to anyone in fear of putting his life in danger, but is willing to risk anything to catch the murderer "Kira" (aka. Light). In my opinion he was very comedic and was definatly mine and most others favorite character.
Overall thoughts:
In short, Death Note is an amazing anime. But i will say this, don't just watch it because of L. I realize he is the top loved character, but with him aside, the story is interesting and Kept me hooked on it until the end. Highly recommend this anime........ :)

The animation looks really good except for some weird angles from swords and things. If you pay close attention you can see that it is slightly flawed but aside from that it looks great and combat when it is around, is entertaining and pretty legit.
The sound and music is solid. The characters get along really well and are pretty well thought out. The story starts out confusing because it starts near the end and then backtracks which is really the best way to handle what happens. It is done well.
There are a few moments that make no sense. At one point a character comments on

the unnecessary movements they had in battle even though they were fighting something that was mimicing them, which is really the only situation where this statement could be flawed. Another example is it is mentioned that one of the characters has advanced techniques with battle however these techniques are never mentioned before or after this converstation and are never seen.
Overall it is actually really good. The characters all get along in differnet ways and feel very lifelike and are consistany throughout the whole show. They are actually just as interestaining as the combat and action, which really gets the viewer pumped.
8/10 Solid stuff!

Set in England during the Victorian Era we meet a 12 year old Earl named Ciel Phantomhive and his demon butler named Sebastion that he made a contract with until Ciel's goal has been acclomplished.
Story: 9/10
I really enjoyed the story of Ciel's parents getting killed and how he made the contract with Sebastion and he would give Sebastion his soul once he found out who killed his parents.
Animation: 10/10
I really liked the animation. I liked how dark and gothic the animation could be and it gave off a goth vibe. The victorian-era background was also done really nicely.

Sound: 8/10
The sound is very good. I loved the opening song of this show and enjoyed the 2nd ending of ths show but i did not understand the 1st ending of the song. It did not fit well with the show and was way to preppy in my opinion.
Charechters: 8/10
I enjoyed pretty much all the charechters in the show, my favorite being Sebastion. The one i could not stand though was Ciel's cousion/fiancee Lizzy, she annoyed me so much and she always whined and acted like a brat when she didn't get her way. Luckily she was barley on the show.
Overal:8/10
Overall i enjoyed the show very much and it's my favorite anime.
