I really really love this work of Miyazaki. For me, Sprited Away is (and will probably always stay) the best movie by Miyazaki, but Kiki's delivery service is definetly also worth watching. It doesn't have the great circumstances like in previous Ghibli movies, and even if it's a story about witch girl, fantasy elements doesn't have main role in the movie. However, I like modest feeling on Kiki's delivery service; it lets your brain breath, and you can also identify with the characters and story well.
The reason Kiki's delivery service has a special place in my heart, is the moment I first saw it. I was just going to move far away from home to study (and also 'find myself'), so I saw myself very strongly on Kiki's travel to independent life. The movie made me calm down; everything will go well, if not immediately, eventually.
I can recommend movie to everybody who wants spend relaxing time by guaranteed Ghibli quality, learn something about themselves and visit in refreshing cosy little town :)
