Popular Gyarus loving an otaku -- a concept done a million of times before, poorly or perfectly. To filter out the waste from the gold, there are three things to look to: Plot progression/pacing, character chemistry, and uniqueness. Besides for the lack of uniqueness in the premise, the other aspects of this manga make it worth reading and an enjoyable experience.

Time after time, there are romance mangas that have 50+ chapters, yet the furthest point the fantasized couple has gotten to was hand-holding or an indirect kiss. In other words, most of the chapters are boring and have no direction to the overarching plot. However, with this manga, there's actual progression in romantic developments and character; though that's a god-send, it was an unnatural development forced by the author. However, to have no development over a forced one would simply be idiotic, as one is forgettable; besides for that one flaw in this manga, the characters' chemistry make this manga all the worth more reading. As for the premise, it has a small bit of uniqueness by their being two gals; besides for that, there's not much else except for a bundle of wholesome, cute moments.

There may not be a unique twist on the trope in this manga, but that does not mean it is boring in any way. Carried by the characters' chemistry and development, this manga strangely does not teeter the line of cringe, but rather a light-hearted, fun experience.
