The first thing everyone comments on is the endless eight. Really, it's not as bad as it sounds. Yes, its' repetitive, yes, I got sick of some things, but it was in reality a really neat idea. It almost gives us a taste of what they are going through. The second episode contains scenes that the first doesn't, and every episode after changes things. Sometimes it's just where someone was sitting, or something they said or did or wore. There's also one thing that we never actually see Kyon's reaction to, just Koizumi's response to it. I found I always wanted to see this particular scene to see how it changed.
I think they could have done this in 3 or 4 episodes, not 8, but it took a chance that many series would not. And for me, who has little attention span, I could do other things while having that in the background. And I love the characters enough anyway that I just enjoyed watching them.

The rest of the series ties the two seasons together, the making of the movie for the festival. It's entertaining, but I would have liked to have had something new. For anyone who didn't watch the first season in chronological order, they would have seen them in that order in 2009. So perhaps that would give different insight on the series too. I did watch it in chronological order (not realising it was aired in a different order until much later, I thought there just must be something wrong with crunchyroll).

Anyway, it's worth watching this series. If you don't like the endless 8, then you can always skip a few in between. If you do that, at least watch the first two and the last one! But give it a chance before getting annoyed and giving up on the series!
