The story is what it says in the synopsis.Basically a highschool setting,a bunch of students,who found themselves into the middle of a zombie apocalypse and their struggle not to die,plain and simple..So how,one has to wonder,an anime with such a good premise fucked it up in a galactic scale?
First you have to look at the group of people this aims to please with its' massive doses of fanservice,and by that i mean of course the simple minded teenage boys who are easily pleased by some light action and boobs so huge they come with their own moon.And trust me when i say massive fanservice.You can almost imagine the writers saying to each other:"oh we didn't put some panty shots there in this corner of the screen,let's put some more for no obvious reason"!!!This is called the fap effect.When a butterfly flaps its' wings in China some youths fap like there's no tomorrow in the rest of the world.But it has movie refs as well..Like the Boob Matrix scene for example..Oh no that wasn't good,scrap that..
"But at least the characters are interesting"..Please have some strong drugs near you,you're going to need them,trust me..First we have Takashi.He is so perfect i got the impression that he lives in a yogurt commercial.Everything he does is perfect.Even his catatonically stupid decisions end up perfect..Why?Because he's a perfect badass...Then you have Rei,who as far as i can tell is bipolar..One moment blames Takashi for the death of her boyfriend(who decided bitchslapping a zombie was a good idea)and then wants to fuck him till the end of time.Kouta Hirano,the gun nut was my favorite of them all.Then Saeko the kendo sadistic girl.Shizuka the useless nurse who doesn't seem to have the faintest idea of medicine or what's happening but has the biggest boobs seen on a mammal.There were some others but i can't bother to remember them.
"Yeah but it was fun,right"?....Hell's no.You know the infamous "2 girls and a cup" vid?That was much,much,much more fun that this and i threw up 3 times in my mouth in a space of 2 ms before i actually vomited copiously.At no point did i feel connected to the main cast so even if they died,and unfortunately they don't,i couldn't care less.Throughout the anime i felt like the main characters weren't in such a great danger as we were led to believe.Only one seemingly major character dies in the beginning and that's it.The rest of 'em were alive and well enjoying panties and boobs.No real struggle,no sense of danger whatsoever and the action part was like watching your grandpa trying to dance...
The only good part was the animation and the opening soundtrack.Other than the show,i think,was just made to cash in on the zombie craze of late.But when you make a show about undead creatures and turn it into the wet dream of a 14yr old fap enthusiast with boobs that jiggle about defying the laws of physics and then throw some ridiculous story about nukes and stuff(of course 'Murica blew them all fuckers into the middle of next week)which should have affected the whole of Japan,but somehow only renders the powergrid useless...I'm sorry but it doesn't cut it for me.It could have,it should have been better.But the writers of the show didn't want to make use of the story they had in hand,they decided boobs and panties were the way..And judging by the reviews it had some positive impact on a major sum of the viewers..Well i can safely say that i'm not so soft on the head and i'd rather cut my left leg off and beat my self to death with it than ever even thinking again in the slightest anything to do with this horse shit.
