For all the people out there complaining that this anime is "one of the worst" and 'it sucks", and other hateful things, you KNEW that this was a animated light novel adaption ( I don't consider them true anime) either keeping or adapting the popular "harem king" trope for the television ( or the internet, whichever way it gets on there). To say that it's lame just because it has a seeminly "god-like" MC who is essentially unbeatable is just stupid. It could have been HXDXD's first season (which in reality sucked royally because Issei was just acting like a perv to basically hide his lack of self-confidence and the fact that he's actually a pretty smart guy, with no explanation as to why or even how he's pretending to be something he's not) or 11eyes (Not too bad but should have worked with the VN more.).

Comparing it to other anime and LN adaptions of similar genres and episode length this is actually more realistic in terms of character development and power gaining. It is a sad fact that in many modern anime the MC is so weak he can't do crap at the start, and as the series progresses he somehow gets abilities strong enough to wreck this planet many times over via a plot hole or filler. In Isekai wa Smartphone Touya may be a rip-off of the Avatar as well as an enhanced body but he had to put the pedal to the metal for all his other abilities and powers, even though he was chosen by God.

The other characters are properly described and their interactions fluid enough, which is a + for a industry overfilled with boobs, powers and ( sometimes ) gore. I also appreciated the fact that Production Reed decided to tone down on the ecchi while putting the LN on the big screen and focus on the story, which is good enough to keep you hooked as you go from episode to episode.

The only issue with this LN adaption is, or was that now that it's finished is the fact that it should have been longer. The season finale just ends with the MC being polygamous and if you don't read the LN you won't have a clue as to what caused that to happen. That silver-haired, purple eyed dude from the opening should have received more than a cameo but like soo many other "anime" these days, this is just a proof of concept.

Apart from that it's worth a watch if you're sick and tired of all the boobs and poorly done stories racking anime these days.
