Story: -rating 8-
Just like R1, R2 story also bring unexpected things to make it more exciting. But flaws hit it pretty good here in R2. Unexpected things ARE nice, but if it moving too fast it will leave holes. So Marianne is alive, but Lelouch just goes like "no worries! I only cares about my sister.." I let it pass. "This sword (thingy) will change the world!" Said charles. I just goes like... Oh OK... You just ruined the image of a perfect smart evil Charles here... Or maybe like "hey! I'm the ruler of China! I'm still a kid and never goes outside in my life before but i can speak Japanese!" ... some things like that pretty much affected the story and make me feels like I'm thinking too much to actually realizes what had happened... Of course the ending were perfect.. Suzaku still have that inhuman skill, and Nunally still very sensitive towards other people's feeling so... Well the inhuman skill thingy still makes me feels weird but it actually perfected the ending. It fix the story mess in the few previous episodes so an 8 are worth it.
Art: -rating 9-
The art didn't changed from R1. But since my review here cover both Rs, my opinions for the art is pretty nice.. At first glance, I hesitate to watch Code Geass because the art are not my liking. In fact, the art really bothered me to the point I actually drop R1 at first episode before. But since lately I don't really have material that I wanted to watch lately, I decided to watch Code Geass... Now that I'm used to it, the art is pretty nice and Lelouch actually looks really cool... But of course I give it a 9 because how long the body length is still feels weird.
Sound: -rating 10-
Actually.. I never really comments much for sounding.. I guess my experience with anime isn't wide enough for me to notice anything with the sounding.. So I just gave it a 10 because nothing actually bothers me..
Character: -rating 8-
Most of the essential characters are pretty well made. Their personality varied so it never get boring. Here are my a little detailed opinions on each and grouped characters:
*Lelouch: this character overall is pretty much 9/10. I wanted to give 10/10 but some things quite bothers me. A genius character and not so naive over killings or friendship power is pretty rare lately, so Lelouch strong points are these. But his obsession with Nunally's happiness are too high. And kissing with some girls without thinking it too much makes him like a bit out of character (IMHO).
*C.C.: my favorite character, so the overall is of course 10/10. Quiet, not a whinny, got skills, not afraid of anything, got brains, and of course she is a useful character for Lelouch. This is the kind of my favorite best girl! (Though I can't choose her on my favorite character list because it's full T_T). The quite part is not necessary though.
*Suzaku: overall is 9/10. He got the character, so even though some of his actions are annoying (like changing from the inside thing) it's actually understandable when I saw the last episode. He also have than impossible inhuman skill that can dodge rains of bullets which is makes him weird.. But hey! Lancelot looks cool in action with him..
*Kallen: overall is 10/10. Not really a favorite but I write the review neutrally and she deserve this point from me. She is not a whinny, incredibly strong, got brains and she is pretty quick to realise some important thoughts from Lelouch (it is shown in around the last episodes and the last episode itself). At first she may be annoying at the story about her mother problem but she was well played later on.
*Nunnaly: overall is 10/10. Many people detests her because the only thing she capable of is being kidnapped. But if you look and thought it carefully, she is a pretty smart character. Even though she is hesitant to shoot Lelouch, she still do it. When her assistant (or smt) tried to trick her with the plan regarding the elevens, she realise it right away.
*Shirley: .... ... ... Do I really have to rate her? I hate a character like this. I can even give 0/10 for her. Whinny character, not useful at all, only can cry, choosing a boy which is not even your boyfriend over your birth father (this kind of cliché is the most annoying for me), not consistent and of course, so naïve. At first glance she already looked like Inoue from bleach. Her and Nina are the one that lower my rating for both character rating and my overall rating for code grass R2.
There are lots of characters that I wanted to share my opinion on them.. But it will take too long.. So far, the most amusing character for me is Llyod and the self claimed Zeros' best friend XD
Enjoyment: -rating 10-
Let's cast aside the fact that lower my enjoyment, overall the rating for enyoment is 10 for me. I finished the whole R1 and R2 in just 4 days beside the fact that it's schools day..
