Mixed Feelings
Overall impression:
Those series have some sort of a slow and relaxing feeling to them (despite having violent scenes), and most of the time can be described as "okay". Aside from few episodes near the end, where this anime tried to be something that didn't make much sense, most of the episodes are "alright". They aren't dull, aren't annoying, but aren't very exciting either.

Characters:
Main character is overpowered. Due to his personality it isn't annoying (because he's just very strong, but not perfect), but in those few episodes near the end there are few somewhat ridiculous scenes.

Most characters are somewhat faceless, although there were few interesting ones. For example, I found Chiba Erika interesting. Interactions between characters usually are somewhat "flat", although there were few scenes that were somewhat enjoyable.

Story:
Someone spent a LOT of time creating theory of magic for this setting. Most of the time anime looks like a long overview of the world with magic in it. That's where the anime works. However, when this anime tries to get more dramatic, the story stops being very believable. Over course of story, anime picks few important topics, and then sorta just forgets about them, apparently after being distracted by main character's power.

Story consists of multiple arcs and they're all very long.

Art:
Nothing outsanding there. Character faces are standard triangular low-detailed faces that are used in the modern anime often. The art style doesn't have any unique personality to it, although I found few side-characters interesting visually. The anime uses anime-stylized CG models on some occasions, most of the time for background crowds, but in those few weaker episodes near the end I mentioned, there are scenes with obviously not hand-drawn objects and characters, and they don't look too well in movement.

Sound:
Music in those series is disappointing. Nothing in soundtrack stands out, and on few occasions it gets slightly annoying and somewhat disruptive to the dialogue.

Bottom line:
I'm not sure if I'd recommend it. Due to slow pacing and methodical explanation of the world and its magic, it can be a decent show to kill time (most of the time it isn't dull or boring, but not exciting either), but ultimately there aren't many memorable things about it.
