This is the kind of anime we should be demanding! This series justifies paying for anime! It's got everything that a fan of anime could want. Action, emotion, comedy, suspense, intrigue, sexiness, science, etc. All the characters are solid and fill their roles well. So stop reading this review and watch it. Seriously, anime like this doen't come along every day so go check it out. Okay, I should point out that this series is not for every one. It's portrayal of women leaves something to be desired. They're all painted as victim at one point or another. Except Shino Kuribayashi & Rory Mercury. Two women who easily hold their own on a battlefield. This series is also about the horror of war, so it's violent and depicts it. As it should it is a war story after all. People die in war, it's a simple fact. So I tend to loathe series featuring war where the human toll isn't made clear to both us and the characters. Other than that it's an anime for everyone (well if the SOLE reason you watch anime is moe girls or supernatural bishonen then mebe not everyone). I'd even suggest a few of my non anime friends watch it, but not with their kids though. Yeah this ones not for the kids.
