As an avid fan of the first season, I expected this season to be as amazing as the first and I'm very happy to admit that Noragami Aragoto did not disappiont.

STORY(8/10):

I haven't read the manga so I don't know if the second season follows the manga, but there is everything in this department which you loved about the first season. Action, comedy, romance(more than the first season *wink wink*) and....YATO! The story is divided into two major arcs. The first arc centers around Bishamon and the second arc around Ebisu, a God of Commerce/Fortune. The first arc is pretty well done. Also the action and the fighting scenes are amazingly handled. The second arc simmers down for me a bit but it is in no way lacking. Sure, the tension and the grabbing-the-edge-of-your-seat feeling takes time to build to finally climax into a good end but the first arc is better.

ART (10/10): The visuals for Noragami are beautiful and pleasing to look at. Everything from the background to the character designs is handled perfectly and shows intricacy. The eyes are alluring especially Yato's incandescent ones.

SOUND (9/10): As was typical of the first season, an amazing OST has been provided to us in Aragoto. The OP carries the same upbeat tunes and adrenaline rushing effects as was true for the OP of season 1. The ED is fluid and calming.

CHARACTER(10/10): For most anime nowadays, I think this is a tricky goal to achieve. Usually you can't make all the characters perfectly lovable and sometimes an attempt to "sweeten" up some characters tends to have the opposite effect making them unbearably obnoxious. Noragami here, I have to say, has some of the most amazing characters I have come across in anime. Yato, Hiyori, Yukine, Bishamon, Kofuku, Ebisu; you name it. Every character(even the Gods) are characterized beautifully and are sometimes found to show surprisingly humane flaws which is a good thing as this might help you relate more with the character at hand and sympathize with them. Also the humor you get out of these characters is bound to make you at least smile if not laugh once in awhile.

OVERALL ENJOYMENT (9/10): While my review sings praises for this anime, I have not supplied it with a 10 because I think it is reserved for an almost perfectly flawless anime which, in all fairness to Noragami, aren't that easy to find; at least not in my opinion. So even though, Aragoto has been an enjoyable ride there were places I feel could have been improved upon. Like the anime has kind of an inconclusive end(which very well may be a third season advertising) but things aren't as neatly tied up and presented to the viewers as I would've liked it too. I won't mention what events didn't receive a perfect conclusion but there are pointers that were left unexplained.

Nevertheless, this sequel is not one to miss if you loved the first season. This anime promises you an enthralling ride.
