Even though the plot was the typical vampires vs. demons schtick, it was well written and didn't feel overused like other anime with similar plots. The character development was a little lacking in some respects, but the characters were still likable and interesting.
I was a little surprised at first by the singing and felt that it was a little out of place and corny, but after hearing a few songs, I really enjoyed them and thought they were well-written. I don't really think they're the types of songs you'd want to sing along to, but they did add a little something special to the anime.
I'd recommend this anime to anyone whose looking for a romantic reverse harem that doesn't feel cliché or boring.
