Story (2/10) Dreadful
The in The irregular at magic high school is something anyone can tell that this series was really trying to push as the did not really focus on really anything else and by anything else I mean characters, characterization, character development, comedy/enjoyment, fan service, good/satisfying amount of conflict/fight scenes anything that you could possible find enjoying as absent and I will talk about that more in the enjoyment section. But all you need to know from my perspective is that this anime series tried TRIED to push a story that was dreadfully uninteresting to a degree and I never seen before. The only reason it's not a 1 is because I personally feel that maybe there is an interesting story there but since it was so uninteresting I couldn't care less.
Art and Animation (6/10) Fair
Now since this is by Madhouse it doesn't look bad, but it's nothing outstanding either it's just fair, it's fine. Madhouse probably kept the art style to look exactly how it's manga looks which is why the character designs don't look like a Madhouse character art style design which i don't have an issue with. The animation was also fine nothing amazing was it good? That's debatable it wasn't bad but I think "Fair" or "Fine" is the best word for it.
Sound (7/10) Good
The OST for the opening and endings are probably the most enjoyable thing about this series which is sad because you know at the end of the day that really means nothing that's credit to the animation studio that chose that music but I do give credit where credit is due, barely skipped the intro because like I said it was the only time I felt like I was enjoying myself with this series. Sound effects and voice acting all are fine, background music was decent also so overall this section is good.
Characters (2/10) Dreadful
Generic Generic Generic Generic is the only word that can be used when describing ever last character in the anime. Obviously one can assume that the manga is probably still ongoing which it is and the characters probably got some sort of character development. And at the end of the anime you can see that they setup series for a possible sequel in the future if it ever got one. But knowing that this is Madhouse that's probably never going to happen and quite frankly I don't think this series deserves a second season. 26 episode in my personal opinion was too much to begin with anyway. In my opinion nothing happen with these 26 episodes felt significant from a story plot or a characterization standpoint. I thought the least I would see is some sort of rivalry between Tatsuya and Ichijou which they were hinting at this entire series and I thought AT LEAST by the end of it we could have at least gotten something... nope nothing.. just dreadful let down and disappointment
Enjoyment (1/10) Appalling
This is why I rarely take something out of my dropped section. This was placed there and honestly it should have stayed there this was so not worth it to any degree. My enjoyment couldn't be any lower it this site aloud negative numbers I probably was have giving this a -3. I dozed off multiple times, I had to do anything to keep myself from turning this boring excuse of an anime off. This has to be the most boring anime I have ever completed.

More Specifically (3.60/10) (Who the fuck cares when it's this low but it's here anyway)
Like I stated in my Enjoyment section for this review there are certain things that should stay in your drop list. This is one of them, the only reason I finished this anime is because I made a deal with a friend and if he watched something I really like I'll do the same for him, and unfortunately it was this. Next time if my grudge feel it's not worth it I'm just going to tell him straight up "No deal bro that anime is not coming out of the drop list" LOL. But anyway this anime i saw a little potential in around episode like 2 with the training seen with the bald character but nothingness only awaits for you by the time you finish this 26 episode dreadfully generic work of trash called Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei it's a poor I'm sorry I'm going to have to slap my friend in the face for wasting my time with this one. If you are reading this wondering if you should at least give it a chance DON'T.
