G stands for Great Anime, which could have turn out to be
U stands for Underwhelming ending
I stands for Interesting, for the first half of the anime
L stands for..........Wait a minute, why am I doing this? Isn't this just a review?

(There will be SPOILERS in my review. You have been warned).

Story: (6/10) (SPOILERS)
The story is set in Japan, in the year 2039, after it suffered from an outbreak called "Apocalypse Virus" 10 years ago. During the 10 years, international relief has come in and Japan is now in control under GHQ.
After reading the plot synopsis for myself, I got interested and wanted to watch the anime. After watching the first episode, I was amazed. I mean you now got a government who turned dark and are now abusing their powers and you got a "terrorist" organisation called "Funeral Parlor" (nice name, idiots) who's actually saving the people from the government. The anime got an interesting concept and used it nicely for the first half. Now here is the reason why my story rating is low. For the first half, it was a 9 from me but the 2nd half ruined the story for me. The early parts of the 2nd half wasn't bad but it got ruined when Shu decided to go crazy and organized the school students based on their "void" rankings. Want to know why he went crazy? You have to watch the show by yourself. The ending was also a big ass disappointment because it ended in a cliche. (SPOILER: World got saved by the power of "love"). My second reason why I was disappointed is the fact that Shu's sister was actually the main reason why the "Apocalypse Virus" struck Tokyo. I was expecting that it was some terrorist who released the virus or similar to how the H1N1 killed millions of people. There are also some unanswered questions. Maybe these were answered but I didn't hear them explain it. How did Gai come back to life after being stabbed? Is Mana like that because of the virus? How did Shu forget his important memories? For god's sake, he's only 17. There's no way he forget things like that.

Art/Animation: (8/10)
The Animation is pretty nice. The animation was dark which fitted because of a dark story. The character design looked weird at first but I got used to it.

Soundtrack: (9/10)
The soundtrack used in the anime is great. The battle themes fitted well and themes used for emotional scenes were also great. Now comes the opening soundtrack. The first opening soundtrack was awesome. The first time I heard it, it gave me goosebumps and I kept getting goosebumps every time I hear it in a new episode. The 2nd opening soundtrack wasn't that great compared to the first one but it was still ok. Now, the ending soundtracks. ED 1 was great but ED 2 was complete trash. There are songs used in the anime sung by Inori but I don't know what they're called. They sound decent to me. It's not great but it's not bad either.

Character: (8/10)
I'm really not great at reviewing the character section so bare with me on this one. The characters in the show were likable. They each got a well decent character development but that's understandable because they only got a 22 episode limit. I don't think any of the characters were annoying. I expected Tsugumi to be that annoying character but she was pretty balanced. This will be my first anime where I hate the main protagonist because of his actions. His actions in the 2nd half (where he went crazy) made me hate him so much. What I don't understand about Shu is how the hell did he forget the most important things that happened to him? How did he forget he had a sister? How did he forget that he met Gai? How did he forget what happened at the Church?

Enjoyment: (8/10)
If I were to rate my enjoyment in terms of story then my enjoyment rating would have been 5 or 6. Since I'm rating my enjoyment in terms of action, funny moments, character relationship, etc then it's getting an 8 from me. I enjoyed the first half of the anime but after Shu went crazy, I started losing interest in the anime and I just wanted to end the series sooner.

Overall: (7.8/10) (I am not rounding my rating to 8)
Overall, the anime is still good to watch due to its action packed scenes, hilarious moments, and nice soundtrack but if you're looking for an anime with a great story then you need to consider skipping this show because you'll be disappointed at the 2nd half. The anime got a great concept and great potential but they ruined it at the 2nd half and by 2nd half, I mean where Shu decided to go bat-sh*t crazy.

Pros:
-Great Animation
-Great Soundtrack
-Great Characters
-Battle scenes are great to watch
-Some Funny moments

Cons:
-Great story but got ruined at the 2nd half
-Disappointing ending
-Ending was rushed
-Fanservice was implemented in Ayase and Tsugumi (Boob physics)
-Some unexplained things
