Story 9/10
The show takes place 10 years before the events of Fate/stay night, showing the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War. The story was amazing and everything was well explained in the first episode. Since I have not watched Fate/stay night before, I was confused with the show's story for at least 3-4 episodes even after listening to the 1st episode. I eventually figured out what was going on and this is where I fell in love the story.
Art/Animation 9/10
The series was split into 2 seasons because of the animation.. To be honest, I didn't see anything wrong with the animation. It looked great to me. From well designed dark environment to well designed character and their outfits.
Sound 9.3/10
The soundtrack in the show was amazing especially the battle themes and the opening soundtrack. Everytime I hear a battle theme or the opening soundtrack, I just get goosebumps. Whoever composed the soundtrack, great job.
Character 9/10
The characters in the show are likable and got a great character development. Each one of them received a spotlight, character development and a flashback. Even the main protagonist's daughter got an episode dedicated to her. I'm not going to list the characters since the character list is there for you and it will cost me time.
Enjoyment 9/10
I truly enjoyed watching the 1st season of Fate/Zero and I'm planning to watch season 2 soon. The great story and funny moments is why I love this anime.
Overall 9.1/10
The show has great story, great characters, great soundtrack and great animation. The show has some few flaws but those flaws didn't really bother me. If you're looking for an anime that has great story then this is the show for you.
