The art was cool. The dramatization of the blood was unique and fit well into the story. The art does change when it comes to punishment time but it was still good art. Each character was very much different from the rest and I never really mixed any of them up.
There are a couple of unexpected surprises but they work into the story and make the characters more round rather then the flat stereotypical ones they seem to be in the beginning.
In the very beginning I wasn't really sure what was the actual opening and ending but after a couple of episodes I got it. I liked the ending, the first time I heard it, I thought it was Vocaloid but its Soraru.
I did not play the game but I was still able to enjoy Danganronpa and overall liked it.
