Though nowhere near as good, Sekaiichi follows Junjou's style of storytelling by showing three couples all somewhat related to each other. It's more of the same, but the relationships are far less varied which is disappointing in my opinion. However, if you like one you may like the other just as much.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is basically Junjou Romantica again, but this time everyone is in the manga business.

Same author, same environment, same types of characters and relationships. If you've liked one , you'd enjoy the other as well.

Both animes are about boy love. They both show 3 couples. In both animes, in all the couples, one of them works in the literature business. Sometimes it's an author, others are editors and others are literature professors.

Both by the same author, boy love, focused in three different couples

They're both by the same people, so they have similar artstyles and story lines. They're also both yaoi, and all yaoi-fangirls will love both these animes. Trust me on this :3

If you like one, there's no way you can't like the other. Seriously. They feel like the exact same show. Check out the other one now if you haven't already seen it.

Both look at three different couples, and their relationships as they progress. They are both Yaoi, if you didn't know already, and are really cute! They are by the same author (Shungiku Nakamaru), so the art is basically the same. I suppose Skaiichi Hatsukoi can be considered as a bit of a spin off of Junjou Romantics, because the storylines are similar, again, with them following three different couples. Both are really good, and if you liked one, you will definitely like the other! Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and other anime can be seen here: http://www.myanimelinks.com/full-anime-list/ Enjoy!!! =)

Junjou Romantica is similar to Sekaiichi Hatsukoi because both animes deal with same sex couples whom often misunderstand each other that lead to funny situations, both these animes deal with younger men with older more experienced men i.e. college students with teachers/authors so the characters have the same reactions in both of them, similar situations in the same environments that makes you think you have already seen a scene like this when watching one anime and then the other but no matter what anime you watch, the differences make one as enjoyable to watch as the other without it being too repetitive. They both have similar plots but Junjou Romantica is about 2 peope living together, and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is about 2 people who live next to each other and work together, but in Junjou Romantica, Usagi works as a Writer and Misaki has no job. But they are both filled with the "What going to happen next" feeling as you watch

Cause they both have mutiple couples and not just focusing on 1 couple.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is a spin-off of Junjou Romantica. Same mangaka; Same setting; Same art style; Both take place in the same universe, so crossovers are often.
report Recommended by EdenBaggins
They are both yaoi aniem form the sam eauthor, the art is similar, but personally i think Sekaiichi hatsukoi is much better. Both of them are the best yaoi I've ever seen.

- Same author - Both have 2 seasons (12 ep. per season) - 3 pairs - Really cute and funny main (uke) characters

Art is basically the same, however characters are more developed in SH than in JR. Both were created by the same person. Both have lots of yaoi scenes, although there's a bit more in JR.

•both are of the yaoi genre, and are both done by the same producer/company/author/art style.. etc •both animes focus on 1 pairing, and then broadens the area and focuses on the couples around them in either the workplace, old friends, acquaintances, family members etc •animes have the sex knowingly shown or just hints that it will lead to it, but in JR its pretty more graphic imo SH has toned the sex to a minimum and not shown as much leading up to it. •both animes have different feels about them, one may seem more realistic/legit than the other, and the other a whole fantasy like it   read more

they are both yaois written by the same person, even within the same 'world'. there is a slight over lap of characters too, but nothing that would confuse you if you didnt watch junjo.
report Recommended by AsbestosBunny
Both series tell a story of young men's love struggles as working at a shoujo manga publishing company.
report Recommended by aoxipt
They are both yaoi. The story of both anime is related to books. The author is the same of both. The both have intense love scenes, and they have commons characters.
report Recommended by Jchibi28
Both animes are shounen-ai and from the same creators with the same art. The series follows multiple couples like Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and the characters are very similar. Also characters from Sekaiichi Hatsukoi make cameo appearances in Junjou Romantica. ;) If you enjoyed this series then Junjou Romantica should also be good for you.

They are written by the same person. They are both are BL anime, so if you're not into that, don't watch them. JR and SH both involve writers/editors. I enjoyed watching both of them, and would recommend them.
report Recommended by XaniaVentra
Both were written by the same author and have three BL romance going on.
report Recommended by TomoeHaruhiko
same author, similar drawing and story style, similar atmosphere/feeling like MayilaWong I like SH better - because of the more natural seeming relationships (also more originality), the environment is mostly a manga publishing house and you can see the connections between the characters/couples

•Similar (almost exactly the same) art •Cute couples and cute moments •The 2 make you all fuzzy and happy inside •Similar storylines •Both are amazing
report Recommended by scarletgirl
These two anime shows have similar art work. The coloring, the morale/plot/story is kinda similar but it has its differences. And if you look carefully, you may even find like a connection through the names and posters and stuff like that. And they both have like three different couples' stories about how they met and fell in love and how they overcome hardships that go their way, if they overcome them.

Both series are adaptations from Shungiku Nakamura, they are both yaoi, and the art is similar as well. There are also 3 story lines, and there is a connection to books in both series. if you liked Junjou then you're going to love this one just as much, because you'll be laughing and crying with this too.

Love! Love! Love everywhere! It's not easily found though. The protagonists always try their best in order to gain the partner's affection but are easily turned down. Though, it changes a bit throughout but is still present in a way. Moving on, both the lead protagonists are associated with manga-making or in other words manga industry. Good laughs ,good drama ,good ost ...a good watch!

Both are series made by the same author and they are both about the lifes of many different couples and they both have comedy and romance

First of all, Junjou Romantica and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi were created by the same person. They're both shounen-ai and follow 3 different main couples. They both have the same cutesy art style. Junjou Romantica's and Sekaiichi Hatsukoi's characters even come across each other too. You might see a Sekaiichi Hatsukoi character appear in Junjou Romantica. The two are both great and I love them.

*created by the same people (the manga was written by the same author) *both have their characters involved in either the creation or selling of manga *some of the characters from Junjou Romantica are in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi (and vice versa) *both yaoi and comedic
report Recommended by KaitheKiller
Very similar and both worth watching. Both boys-love and both set within the same 'world' as Usagi (Junjou Romantica) makes an cameo appearance in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.
report Recommended by Legolas1313
If you love yaoi...this is perfect! These are similar because the artwork and the idea of featuring 3 couples in the 1 anime, but each couple has their own story. In these anime, you can see how these shows intertwine with each other which is a cool factor to both of these shows.
report Recommended by remyjade
Yaoi, i like yaoi and there are romantic comedias, i love these combinations *-*<33
report Recommended by Macca_
Both BL shows share many similarities, which mainly focus on multiple couples all interconnected within the same area. Each show has a central couple that has the most focus, alongside 2 other pairings that get their own arcs as well They both also share lots of similarities with the couples in questions, with many of the characters sharing similar characteristics
report Recommended by Short_Circut
Both of these anime are BL which I love although I enjoyed Sekarrchi Hatsukoi a little better than Junjou Romantica. For those who would like to know, both of these are created from two different manga that the same author wrote.
report Recommended by Bookworm192
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES I CAN'T EVEN TELL?! I think Junjou Romantica is based on a love between a student and teacher (dw i think they are both legal) and Sekaiichi is based on two lovers at a manga company for a boys love. (I kinda forgot which one is which BECAUSE I CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENT ANYMORE ISTG).

-Both anime are written by same author. -Both anime are yaoi. -Both anime has three main couples. -Both anime are set in the same universe. -Their art styles are really similar.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is literally a spin-off of Junjou Romantica but not as good. It's the same art style and basically the same story line but with different characters. Sekaiichi Hatsukoi is still good of course.
