Started watching anime since 2016. Born in 1998, I was a First Year University student since 2017. Been a gamer my whole life and started to watch anime to take a break from gaming once in awhile, but now it's more of showing off to people how much time I wasted on anime. So, I'm basically in front of the computer almost all day. Graduated my bachelors in 2020
Quit anime from time to time for an extended period of time and did a lot of irl things. I'm just glad that watching anime and reading manga still do bring joy to my heart.
The genres that I prefer are action and fantasy with less predictable plot. (ie. well made Isekais)
Rating guideline (by me)
8-10 = Positive rating (recommended to watch)
10 – An absolutely masterpiece, much love for the anime and it's a MUST watch imo.
9 – This anime is very good that I like it very much, it's less predictable and does contain a lot of 'wow' moments.
8 – This anime is well made in most aspects but somehow the plot is lacking or progression slows down genuinely, overall it's still enjoyable.
5-7 = Neutral rating
7 – This anime has many good aspects but there are some parts of the anime that are pretty plain which could be said to be a wasted potential but overall, it's still a pretty decent anime.
6 – This anime is just ok overall, it’s predictable and not very interesting.
5 – This anime is pretty weird or gets boring often due to repetition of cliché moments (like those shitty harems)
Below 4 = Negative rating
4 – This anime is a huge waste of potential which made me lose interest.
3 – Trash
1-2 – Why does this even exist
I choose to watch anime based on first impressions, if the art style isn't my cup of tea, I would most likely skip it. The final ratings would take everything into consideration including first impression, story progression, plot line, characters, ending, etc... (unlike people who rate based on only the ending)
Scoring system works the same for manga
