I like your taste in anime. All 4 listed in your favourites are damn great anime.

As for ARIA, I understand that it's not for everyone. Anyways, I think you should watch Amanchu! as well if you haven't already. It's from Amano-sensei, the author of ARIA. I am quite excited for the sequel: Amanchu! Advance next season!

Yeah no doubt. For me, Mushishi is one of the most atmospheric anime out there. It utilizes the ambient sounds, music, visuals and imagination to create a whole new world. It's no exaggeration to say that Mushishi is able to tap into the essence of life itself.
