Hmm i'd say yes, I recommend Oregairu to you. It starts becoming quite good at season 2.. Although I don't know enough about you yet so I can't tell if you will like it or not :-( I bet you will like the main character though! and it's also not tooo slice of life, maybe a little at the start to introduce the characters, but it's nowhere near let's say Non non biyori-level slice of life, that's just 100% slice of life and boring.
Oh yah those are good criterias for choosing an anime, also have you realized that the synopsis most of the time spoils a little bit of the anime? like the first couple episodes? I really hate that >_> Also you're right I should probably start following some anime studio cause if I liked one of their anime I might like some of their other works
Uhm well yes i'd say i'm a shonen fan! I did a little test to know what were my favorite genres and I thought it was comedy and like romance, but it turned out to be Shonen & adventure! So yah i'm probably in denial and I don't want to admit it but I am a shonen fan indeed, I did watch some very long series like Dragon ball, naruto, Jojo, hunter x hunter, etc. But I understand that you might not like that genre that much because most of the times there's fillers...
Well I did not like Madoka thaaat much sadly.. But it could be interesting since it's magic, it's the "mecha" genre that's pushing me back.. I just.. really don't like that genre >_<
uwah I keep talking about myself... I think I told you already but you are watching quite a lot of anime at the same time aren't ya? You prefer that over watching one at a time or you're doing that so that you're not getting burned out? In any case let me know what you decide to watch next :o !
Uhm well as for me I had a couple of vacation days so I watched a few animes like Oregairu and Blend S.. they're not the best animes out there but I certainly had fun watching them OKAY?
Well vacation is almost over and going back to work, I just hope I will keep watching anime and not feel too tired to do anything after work >_< I bet you know what I mean..
In any case, Yah Kimetsu no Yaiba is quite good, although it's lacking a little bit of depth to be honest. it's a tiny bit repetitive in the sense that the main character is just going demon after demon and he has that "plot armor" so you know he's just going to end up killing the demon and win the battle so theres not that much suspense going on. Side characters are quite annoying as well, but you know what? The anime is certainly a 8/10 or 9/10 because the overall art style is really good, and i'm probably too harsh and shouldn't be comparing to top notch shonen like let's say Hunter x Hunter. Anyhow I wouldn't say it's a favorite for me so far so I wouldn't recommend it to you just yet, but hey we never know perhaps you would love it and give it a 10/10
So I wonder when you choose and anime, do you read only the synopsis, only the reviews or both? Because I just noticed that I never read the synopsis of any anime I watch, only the reviews. If we look at Granbelm and Kanata no Astra, the overall score is only 7, and it's hard to know if it's really good because the two top reviews are 9/10 and the other 2/10 so I wonder why you decided to watch that anime, I guess you liked the synopsis ?
Oh yeah for some reasons theres a couple of people that I know that are watching Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku. I wonder why since it's quite an old anime? In any case you liked both of these animes so it's no use arguing about it :-D
What's your favorite anime in the last months? Also have you seen Kimetsu no Yaiba ??
I've seen Tenki no Ko promo vid on facebook, I didn't know it was coming out this year. I didn't know that Evangelion 3.0+1.0 is coming out next year , I though it was post-pone to a undetermined date.
oh I see I have never heard of Maou-sama, Retry! or Granbelm. Are you by any chance a fan of isekai or just fantasy in general ? I have been watching a lot of isekai's recently myself, although for me I like all genre's in general.
Proper classification is very important, which is why i think MAL needs to limit the amount of genres and implement tags instead, that way things like Isekai and Shounen won't be confusing.
High standards just for myself, there are things to take from critics already which field insight into one of or all of those fields. Learning is a lot of fun, much more than making a review now would, so i definitely want to know stuff first.
It definitely wont be anytime soon, if it ever happens at all, but we'll see. I hope it happens.
BLADE RUNNER 2049 - "2036: Nexus Dawn" Short
BLADE RUNNER 2049 - "2048: Nowhere to Run" Short
BLADE RUNNER 2049 - "Black Out 2022" Anime Short - MAL link as it's an anime
They were released in that order, so i assume that's the way it was intended to be watched, as you can see the year of each short in the title.
Don't forget you can use anime+ for more stats, it's especially useful to look at the favorites section and click through the different genres when recommending something to people.
It's rather personal so i won't go into it. Just that her journey of self discovery is something a part of me longs for.
Articulation is the biggest thing, explaining how you feel is easy but not why you feel and why something is good in the context of a review in excruciating detail. There's a lot more i would need to learn before i consider myself ready for reviewing as i hold that position for myself very high for what i want to be. Things like philosophy to understand everything in a more defined way, poetry for expression which i think is important for explaining emotions, and production for how things are made in the first place in anime.
Don't forget to add how many times you rewatched something with the edit button within your list, under advanced.
I guess it would be accurate to say being "T" dominant is personally relatable with the immensely dry Violet and her journey of self discovery, because she is someone i definitely relate to and it's why i love that anime so much. Plus the amazing visuals which empowers everything.
Writing reviews and stuff is way out of my depth, maybe if MAL ever implements a separate rating for 'average reviewer score' or something.
Not sure when the Blade Runner anime is going to be released, but i'm going to be watching it regardless of everything. The newest Blade Runner movie is quite amazing, a sequel that i think is better than the original.
Yeah i would just put it without a score.
I took one and it's an INTJ.
Yeah, the GITS movie is what inspired the Matrix, since all the other ones came out after the Matrix. Fun fact GITS was influenced majorly by Blade Runner, and the director of GITS:SAC is also heading the Blade Runner Anime, so full circle there. I guess it is best to watch the movie before SAC, as when you go into SAC you already have the experience of the movie and the satisfaction only it can give so you aren't left hanging when you watch SAC as it builds and expands on everything including the details.
PS Because you said you already watched SAC before but it's not on your list :P
Yeah no problem, it took some time for me to consider Zero a favorite on my list, it's not easy to get on there. Not counting A Silent Voice & Violet Evergarden since those are on my favorites for personal reasons, GITS:SAC & LOGH are the only favorites i've put on my list straight after completing. Even without rewatching Zero i kept going back to it even if it was to watch the fights. That last fight between masters is definitely the best close combat fight that i've ever seen in anime.
Any anime you are looking forward to that is coming out soon ? right now the only thing for me is Violet Evergarden movie and possibly the second season of rei zero. Apart from that I think I will just binge on visual novels after finishing Gankutsuou.

For GITS, as you know with Fate it has 3 different timelines that are all canon after Zero, but all of GITS is independent from each other. You have the original movie, the SAC tv series, and Arise which are all separate but based on the same source material with varying experiences when watching.
That said it's really what you value, the original movie is the essence of what all of GITS is as it's very indirect but not ambiguous it just doesn't hold your hand as there is nothing super clear to hold onto as a viewer.
SAC is the same with hand holding but it's more direct and gives you more of a clear narrative to hold onto and expands on the entire world and everything in it including incredible characterization and the same questions/themes the movie does. SAC is getting a sequel, unfortunately it's going to be entirely 3DCG but it has the same director at least so maybe it can be interesting.
Arise is much more streamlined to what anime is today, by itself it's not bad but in comparison i personally and ironically think it's just a shell of itself.
PS: Update your list.
