I've probably seen too many anime when I was a child, and my brain has thus been restructured to appreciate them more or less critically: but that doesn't stop me from occasionally acting like a fangirl^^.
I am likely older than you. Possibly very much so.
I also have an ego-complex and spend too much time reading 2ch, which has butchered my (already low) argumentating competence.
I grew up watching anime from the early'70s so I don't really pay attention to animation all that much, unless it borders on unwatchable levels.
What I like are either complex plots, engrossing ones, or just funny ones (often in a demented way), or well-executed character development. Love it when there's both.
I wouldn't call myself a seiyuu freak,as I started paying attention to them when I was already past my twenties, but I do have my favourite artists (main ones you may see in my favourites, other liked ones I'll have to write down somewhere) in voice acting. Same goes for BL manga ( I'll basically read anything by Yamane Ayano, to check her gorgeous men, or Shimizu Yuki, to, well, read something of substance. I'm also a Kotobuki Tarako fan ). Most BL manga and relative CD drama tend to make me fall asleep nowadays.
I tend to like manga better than anime, but anime, on the other hand, require much less effort to follow and are easier to get through.
Favourite manga artists include Nagai Gou, Inoue Takehiko, Takemiya Keiko and Hagio Moto, Soryo Fuyumi, Urasawa Naoki. I also like quite a few Shounen Jump manga and smut shoujos XD.
