July sounds perfect as you say so it wouldn’t be too hot and to avoid the overcrowd. Did you use a tent before getting to the higher up stations? Woah, that’s pretty awesome that they have the equipment available to you. You’ve mentioned some things I didn’t even think of and the headlamp as oppose to a flashlight is perfect. If you rented the backpack there, how did you go about filling it up with snacks/light quick food? Was all that available prior to the walk?

You made a valid point with no running water and the expense throughout the entire expedition. I’ll take you up on the idea to take some time at the summit and catch the sunset while descending.

Great advice & very informative. When you went during your time, did you check the weather conditions before heading there or does it vary while climbing up? By any chance, did you receive any altitude sickness or ear pressure?

Hey. I am so sorry for the incredibly late response. I’ve been quite busy on my end, but would absolutely love to pick back up on this topic. While my cousin and I spoke about it, we did establish that it would be best to get finger food and making sure our back wasn’t too heavy, so that’s perfect with your input. I know the huts are overpriced, but it’s good to have as a backup in case of an emergency. What about bringing your own hiking gear? How did you go about with renting it? I was thinking about bringing my own personal gear. That’s great you met up with some people afterwards as it makes the experience much makes more enjoyable.

For me, I was planning to go upcoming Summer, however I may end up traveling to my country instead with my family. Nonetheless, next year will be Japan (already saved up, just waiting on the right time ^^). My intentions were to see the Goraiko and walk around the summits crater trail. My cousin wanted to stay an additional day to watch the sunset too, but I don’t know if I’d manage haha. I think it’s best to get that view halfway through the climbing as you did. What time would you prefer for traveling? May/June? I wouldn’t want to get caught in between the rainy weather. .-.

No need for apologies. You provided a lot of information and I appreciate that. ^^

Hey there. I saw your review on Yama no Susume second season and I absolutely agree with you on the series’ delivery on mountain hiking. I was surprised to see the first season to be so short and felt that the second season wasn’t long enough.

Now, if you don’t mind, the main thing I wanted to talk to you about was the climb for Mt. Fuji since you’ve had first-hand experience. I’m from the NY area in the USA and I have exposure to mountain climbing about once a year. However, this series brought to light that I *must* climb Mt Fuji. Beautiful. Everything they say about mountain climbing is enlightening and makes you curious enough to try it yourself. Since I have exposure to mountains and walking/cycling on trails, I definitely want to give this a go. Basically, what I want to say is a family friend resides in Japan as my cousin and I are making plans to go next year. I thought I’d get some input from your experience. Did you sleep over at a hut? We may want to, but seeing how it would be a wooden plank with people coming in/out is questionable (noisy) and I’m sure it’s overpriced. We certainly thought of booking a place the night prior close by the 5th station so we leave early and descend the same day, though my cousin wants to see the sunset as well once getting to the summit. Did you see both or only the sunrise?

I’d love to hear about your experience and any advice if that’s okay. Thanks much ^^.

ahh icic. I first noticed Ogura when she was in Sakurasou. She has a really distinct voice which is awesome, but of course might cause her to have limitation in terms of roles. But im glad her Idol career is going on really nicely!

Hello fellow Singapore guy! Chanced onto your profile when I was looking at Yui Ogura's profile. You've watched a ton of anime! Nice!

Hey!

I saw your review at Yama no Susume Second Season. If you are pertaining only at second season, then I agree since that the first season lacks the same charm as what the second season has.

Well I did give it a helpful vote since I did agree on it.
