Listen, hear me out. You can watch a garbage fanservice anime any day. You can sit down and see your ordinary boring main character trip and fall and end up face to face with a girl's panties. You can see the main character blush when a girl rubs up against him from behind. But at the end of the day, chances are the show you're watching will be trying to tell a "story". It will be trying to have some kind of "plot", which will distract from all of this.

EIKEN THOUGH? Eiken is so bad, so incomprehensible, so full of garbage... that it's actually super ...

The show literally gets worse the longer it goes. We start off with a pretty interesting economy-building premise as the main character takes charge of a village of goblin people. They also recruit some oni people. So we have a human girl, a slime, some goblins, a wolf, and some oni. Pretty cool cast!
And then they all turn into humans. The diversity of the cast is ruined as everyone is continuously "waifu-ified", and the economy building premise that was interesting before is more and more dulled down in favor of fanservice and """comedy""". A waste of potential. If you want an actually good isekai go ...

This show could be a cute romantic comedy between a dragon girl and a human. Instead it goes for a fanservice comedy and gets cold feet as soon as romance is anywhere in the picture. It has no issue sexualizing young children in bizarre ways and may as well border on fetish content at times. Additionally it falls into harem trope pitfalls as it tries to progress its plot, introducing more and more dragons while the ones we have seem to have not developed at all. If the show weren't so cowardly with it's portrayal of girl on girl relationships, it could have been decent. ...

Imagine a show with a tense, dark atmosphere, an interesting setup, beautiful combat animation, and vast, vast potential. That's what Demon Slayer

was, before the ruinous introduction of the comic relief characters.

As soon as you see Zenitsu for the very first time, Demon Slayer completely abandons the serious atmosphere it had built up in favor of stupid, unfunny "comedy". Haha Zenitsu is a pathetic pervert. Oh so funny in my show about decapitating demons that killed the main character's entire family. Haha, I really needed that.
Things aren't helped any further when Boar Head guy is introduced. I finished the show, I finished the movie, and I ...

So imagine if comedy anime was actually funny and clever without relying too heavily on overexaggerated responses. That's Sakamoto Desu Ga. The closest thing I can compare this show to is "One Punch Man", but imagine if instead of being the most powerful person in existence, Sakamoto is the coolest person in existence. He literally cannot mess up. He cannot be embarrassed. No matter what happens to him, he finds the most elegant, graceful, and might I add, comedic, way through the situation.

The reason this show doesn't quite reach that 10 mark is because the gag can start feeling repetitive around the last part of ...

Juuni Kokuki (Anime) add
From the very first episode I started watching after seeing a clip of the show from Retro Crush, I could tell this show would be something special. The isolation as presented by the framing in the first episode did a fantastic job of introducing our main character. From the end of the first episode, the show could be considered a bit of a "slow burner", that is, until you understand everything that's going on. The show is constantly introducing new terms up until about halfway through, and at that point, you look back and suddenly understand everything that's happened up to that point.

It's an ...
