hi! you can call me fey. i'm a college student that's just enjoying the ride.
my lists are very unorganized and a little confusing. i've seen and watched a lot of anime, and it's hard trying to remember them all. same goes for manga.
aside from casual anime viewing, i enjoy drawing, video games, music, vocaloid, some film, hanging with friends, and trying new food. i'd like to travel more if i wasn't the student equivalent of dirt poor. i've also had interest in dabbling into theology.
currently, i'm into soulsborne (bloodborne, specifically) and genshin impact. i wanna get more into ffxvi-- but not until elden ring releases!
please feel free to comment on my profile! i like a large array of topics with others.

I think the reason I've stuck this far is because it's a certified classic, I'm not really a big fan of sci-fi, I'm sure of it now.
Oh you used to major in music? That's cool. I'm still deciding what I should major in, music sounds really nice but I don't have enough confidence for it, but at the same time I'm not really up for majoring in stuff like business or accounting either. School has gone back to online since omicron, I have to say I'm more relaxed studying at home but at the same time pretty stressed from being confined to a chair in my own room for hours on end. School hasn't been busy for me either, but somehow I'm never less busy than before.
Yeah I want to read more CLAMP stuff, mostly I'm interested in their works because their anime has the best soundtracks ever. Might read Chobits. That track in particular (Deja View) somehow makes parallel fifths sound good.
I'm glad to hear that you've been doing well. I hope that it all goes well for you too for the rest of the year! Already this year has it's ups and downs, but this year truly has been just slightly easier on me.
I'm honestly in an anime slump rn, it's hard to get through more than two episodes lmao, especially with some hard-swallowing gibberish like eva, I watched like around 10 episodes two weeks ago but I stopped again, and haven't really picked it up since. Definitely will finish though. So far I'm midway through episode 21, and it's been pretty okay ig. I won't say I hate it but I don't necessarily love it either, though it's a cool experience. I love the 90's animation style though. I reckon I'm not a big fan of sci-fi. Will come back and tell you my full opinion once I get around to finishing the first season!
Anyway what have you been up to? I'm addicted to XXXHOLiC's soundtrack, it's called Deja View.
Huh yeah it's understandable I guess that rock music has simplified so their music can reach more people. I've heard of the 1975 before, have listened to one of their songs too. I don't know why but in my mind I group lany, lauv and the 1945 together though their music might be very different from the 1975 I don't really remember to be honest. Now that you mention it I'll probably go look them up again and listen to some of their songs. British millennial depression jams sound really appealing, it sort of reminds me of Chase Atlantic but in their case it would be British millenial degenerate devil jams because their all of their music are pretty much about getting high and fucking and demons. Actually I just discovered Gintama's 3rd ED and found that I really liked it, it's like alt probably and super catchy, although the reff is meh (usual 4 chord 1-4-5 I think? Idk I'm not at that level yet) the chorus and bridge are damn good, I honestly didn't really expect that from Jpop not to mention it was composed in 2007. The first thing that caught me was the bass, it was so great.
Ah paramore is another popular one, have heard of it before. Thanks, I'll check them out.
Yeah composers in the Romantic era were like modern-day pop stars back then, it might actually be my favorite era because it's, well, the most romantic imo. Yes I'm pretty intrigued with learning about composers and their history and whatnot, you get a lot of insight in their music when you learn of their background. Like Sibelius composed his violin concerto in his home looking out of his window at a snow-capped forest in Finlandia. That's why the famous opening to his VC was depicted as somewhat icy and cold. And Tchaikovsky wrote his violin concerto at a difficult time in his life, when he was dealing with his homosexuality and discrimination from it. I'm play piano but I know a lot about violin stuff haha, probably because of TwoSet's influence.
Yeah I still can't wrap my head around modern at all, but I can bear a little Poulenc. His Melancholie is Godly. I recommend you listen to this and to Ravel's String Quartet.
If you haven't then you should consider it I think, it's depressing pretty much but I remember liking it. After tons of practice I eventually got it down, and thanks for the suggestion! It helped me a lot and gave me advice on how to actually practice polyrhythm, the other videos just explain it.
Yeah I lose interest way too easily, but sometimes it's not even because of that, I get sidetracked with other manga and books then eventually forget about them. Then before I know it months have passed so I put it on my on-hold bwahaha.
Ah alt rock is pretty cool. I listen to indie rock, does that count as alt rock idk, one of them is Tame Impala, and Chase Atlantic too. I don't often listen to them anymore but I really like songs feel psychedelic or has that kinda throw-your-life-away FML vibe, one of my fav songs that really represents this is Florida Blues by Cruel Youth. I'm a big fan of this genre but I probably love mellowed-out music even more- I used to listen to Lana Del Rey and Cigarettes After Sex often, that high, depressing shit they make. My taste probably hasn't changed all that much but it's been I'd say over two years since I stopped listening to songs. Ever since all I've been listening to is classical, and yes it's rotting my brain. BTW who are the artists? I'm always down for music recs.
Ahh a fellow pianist. So you can play Doctor Gradus? It's a lovely piece, I can't play it yet though. I listen to Baroque, Classical, Romantic, obviously not counting Renaissance haha and I rarely listen to Modern though, still can't wrap my head around atonality. Impressionistic pieces are really special though.
Actually I'm trying to learn this piece right now -https://youtu.be/gnmbSDVofcE - and everything's been going well until I reached 1:14 and I'm struggling with the polyrhythm!! Triplets on left, quavers on right. I practiced it for a long time but I think it sort of ended up with me botching the rhythm. Actually this is the same the reason why I gave up on Debussy's Arabesque last year. Dammit I ended up rambling about music again :D
The art is great and distinctive, it reminds me a lot of JJK. I'm fine with gory subjects, but idk it just doesn't feel exciting, at least not enough so as to make me pick it up again. I stopped reading about two weeks ago and now I'm having trouble trying to continue, but I'll give it another try. I don't want to make dropping culture a habit!
Ahhh that's nice! Do you listen to classical often? It's basically all I listen to this past two or three years but recently I've started incorporating indie stuff into my playlist again. My favorite Debussy piece is Valse Romantique. His Ballade is amazing too. Wbu?
Love your pfp. Maki is queen too.
Would love to discuss any animanga with you! I'm on chapter 30-ish with Chainsaw Man, and honestly so far it's pretty mehh, I'm almost inclined to drop the series and go watch the anime or sth.
