Tiger & Bunny, yes.... Im curious though, did you watch it subbed or dubbed?

No, I said Flamenco had more in common with Lagann and KLK did not have much in common aside from some plot points.

So I've read your review and it's great.
I like how you talked about "Roundabout", the way they used different parts of the song at the end of different episodes depending on that episode's ending was so well done.

Haha, I tried my best to be objective but still leaked out some of my fanboism xD

I have read your message and it's great that you finished Valkyria Chronicles.

Hello, so what do you love most about Gurren Lagann? I think I like the way it proves how manly brotherly love is.

thanks 4 the reply. i will fix the errors

It didn't really end lol it was just like any other episode then it was over. Yea they can pull off the non-ending thing but then it will slowly begin to lose its novelty, like you said when watching the new one.

I can understand that, I just have a weird OCD for dropping things.. it reallllly takes alot for me to say "fuck this shit"

Thanks for the kind words <3

I'm much harder on the "critical gems" here on this site like Monster, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and Mushishi because they're held in such high regard on this site by the critics here that apparently know what's good and what isn't. In comparison to the praise that they receive, I found those particular programmes rather underwhelming to say the least and it affects my view of the programme negatively. I would say that I should be more "objective," but that would be boring. Reviews are primarily a work of opinion, after all :p

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it!

It doesn't really end or have a stopping point, which scares me because if they try to extend it too much it'll lose its novelty.

Yea the system of grading is so faulty. What's the point of having a 1-10 scale if you only use 7-10, just idiotic on their part. Yea I do that with shows I haven't watched in a long time. Nostalgia is the beer goggles of shows.

I feel bad about dropping shows, since I can't give a honest opinion if I didn't bother to finish it. I feel like you can't judge a title if you dropped it. So when I drop something its truly the most horrible titles out there.

Now if only we can get the rest of MAL to realize this so we can stop having a 10/10 for everything lol

The only thing keeping Mushishi from being a 10 for me is that it's inconclusive, which kinda sucks but it's still in my top 10 so that should say enough.

Yea that's why I felt like starting my review off with the moderation quote. The guy has a bad habit of overdoing it. Eva's symbolism is pretentious since the assistant director said all the Christian theology symbols were only there to look cool. Where Eva excelled was the character study. Each character had layered dimensions to their personality.

I think if a show is only focused on art it better be self-aware or an avant garde project. Art with no script is just soulless and lacks substance. Kinda like Zankyou No Terror for example. Great animation and production values but the script was shit. A right balance is always needed, and a show that can balance its production values with their script are the ones that I feel deserves special praise. Mushishi is a perfect example of a balanced show.

thanks for the feedback, I'm glad I was able to capture your thoughts regarding it. It truly was just a bunch of nice themes packed together but forgot it had to be engaging as well. Felt like Ikuhara got caught up in the moment and forgot about everything else.
The art isn't bad per say, I just think it was over saturated. Attention to detail is good but too much detail made it a clusterfuck at times. So if you liked it I can understand why, that was more of a personal nitpick of mine tbh. Despite giving other shows like Rolling☆Girls a 3/10 this season I preferred its artsyle because it manage to be saturated but not to the point where I felt overwhelmed. Also taking a quick glance at your favs over the top art/animation seem to be your cup of tea. It's mine as well, I just prefer it in moderation at times.
