Advised to watch the first episode? I would say that any logical thinking person who has seen Steins;Gate knows that the anime is known to have a slow start, so they should've advised to watch a few more episodes.

In my opinion you should judge (and rate) an anime only when you have completed it. It's a little rule I made for myself and I stand by it. Of course, you don't have to follow it. I'm just stating what I feel on these types of things. Like the people below have previously said, the anime gets better a few episodes down the road. There is no guarantee you will enjoy it anyway though. We all have different tastes
