One of my pet peeves with manga-adapted anime is when only so much of the manga is animated, and when the producers have to intention of animating more than one or two cour they just leave the story hanging. I'm not saying that these kind of shows need a completely original resolution, but there should be something that leaves viewers with a satisfactory ending. The more I watch the more of these cut off endings I see and it really colors how I feel about the rest of the show sometimes. Long story short is Mayoi Neko a show that has a satisfying ending or is a let off? That was my biggest worry with the show.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll attempt to watch Mayoi Neko again. I want to say it was the incongruity with the manga that made me drop it, but who knows at this point.
