Yeah, he's the main character that loves loli, lol, but, seriously, I do get what you mean by that. Araragi feels like an actual character, and all the girls have personality and arcs instead of like the main character for some stupid reasons and they only have one personality trait. I think I understood all the conversations though I love when they sit down and talk for the whole episode, I believe the same thing where I wish I knew Japanese to truly appreciate it. You should read the novels for a better understanding, not the manga, but you're truly a man of culture if you like Senjoghara.
