A figure skating sports anime, with the premise of “skate-leading.” It’s basically what artistic swimming is to competitive swimming (juuust slightly, ik that example is a bit wonky). The animation for this anime was actually very good, I found no real issues. Many scenes did give me chills, mainly Shinozaki revealing his more competitive side and the music for the final performances.

of logic and resorts to screaming his lungs out if anyone were to ever argue against his weird reasoning for literally any decision he makes while he’s on the ice (he basically says it’s cooler, and that’s what matters most). Trust me when I say, he makes you want to scream and punch his face.
The entire plot is a rivalry between our MC and the #1 figure skater, Shinozaki, who looks like atsushi from BSD and khun from TOG combined. I don’t mind rivalry animes, but this one really did not hit the spot where I wanted it to. We get NO development at all from our rival. Even though Shinozaki is the target Maeshima wants to beat, you’d expect that we’d get more development on his side of the story, but no, he’s just some prodigy skater who has been undefeated for his entire childhood. You can argue the ending showed a different side of Shinozaki, but man, after wanting to question this direction story of this story, with how messy the rivalry was really shown (I mean it felt one sided the entire time, so I felt like I was watching a man scream at a wall in every episode), this different side of him was super generic and almost expected, given how he never had more than 2 expressions throughout the show. His looks are nice and all, but he is as black and white as it gets.
As for other characters, i didn’t mind then, but they were never really relevant to the plot. For a show to be centered around team figure skating, I expected there to be more build up between Maeshima and his other teammates, but many of them have no development whatsoever and remain the same throughout the entirety of the show. Even if the useless coach (sorry bro) said something about their flaws, they manage to correct it effortlessly without any struggles, unlike our MC. It’s very obvious who the anime cared enough to put some thought into the stories of certain characters and which characters to just slide in for the sake of the show to keep up its team figure skating plot.
I honestly thought this anime would have been better had it been single skating instead, especially since you could throw out any other side character in the show and still make it make sense on the larger spectrum of things (Maeshima vs Shinozaki). The idea of Shinozaki’s younger brother, Sasugai being the coach for Maeshima in order to beat Shinozaki would have been a good enough plot as it is, minus the team stuff.
Overall, this anime is decent, but nothing special. There were many moments that I loved the performances, but there were also a handful where I skipped scenes because they held no relevancy to the main plot and were overall bland.

It’s everything I’ve wished for and more. The animation, the attention to detail, the voice acting, nothing went wrong in my eyes. It’s fully action packed with a bit of comedy sprinkled in, but it doesn’t kill the mood (at least in my opinion). I cried some, and was on the edge of my seat during all of the fight scenes— that’s just how good it is. I really fell for Yuta’s character (though he can be very a pain in the butt sometimes) and can’t wait to see him again in future JJK seasons. MAPPA you did well on this one.

This was a fun watch.
I think what initially lured me in was the art style, it’s quite refreshing to see and the animation was nothing short of perfection.
I really enjoyed the plot and the OP and ED were beautiful. The characters were funny and all had different backstories/personalities. This anime is a lot more wholesome than you would think, but the one thing I would have wanted though, was for Yashiro to be a bit more smarter and stronger. We always have to see her get saved by hanako which made her seem more like a scapegoat to unfold more of the story if

that makes sense. Otherwise, I really enjoyed hearing the whole “power system,” or whatever you call it with the Seven Wonders and other interesting rumors that flow around in this anime.
Overall I’d highly recommend it if you are interested in paranormal related stories. It isn’t super scary where the designs might give you nightmares, but it’s something that will grab your attention. I think all of the VAs did a great job and it really did fit their characters.

Overall, this anime was pretty bland and lacked that spark of excitement you would want from some fantasy story.
(Spoilers from season 1 + 2)
The plot mixes unnatural creatures and the modern world into one (which was strange because the idea of seeing lambos and helicopters in a story about vampires and demons seems very odd to me).
As for the characters, I rated them a 4. In season one, we see the change Yuu had once he understands that teamwork is necessary and he can’t fight alone, in this season, there is absolutely no change in development in him. All that’s new is that he has

some scary god form who could defeat an Angel with salt.
None of the characters change throughout the series, they are just side characters who added no value to the plot. Kimizuki and Yoichi who’d you expect to be a big part of the plot, was just a random character thrown next to Yuu and kept yelling at him for his teeth gritting actions, same goes for mitsu and shinoa.
There are so many goals to achieve in a story, but the plot strays further from it and continues to add more and more unanswered questions. “Do you know how to change a vampire back to a human?” “No.” *fasts forward to saving guren and not one hint of how to revert vampires back to humans* it would be decades before we get to that point if the story just continues to fight vampires and kill more people.
I wasn’t surprised that this was pretty mediocre, as season 1 wasn’t as great either, but I honestly say this was worst than the first season. Barely any questions are answered, but more “plot twists,” keep appearing.
That being said, the OP, ED, and animation was solid. I did enjoy the Mika and Yuu interactions, even if it was only a couple minutes worth.

SPOILER WARNING:
I mainly watched this because of people loving Mikaela and to be honest, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t that great either.
The plot is pretty fast, which makes sense because there are only 12 episodes, but a majority of the characters fall into cliche stereotypes. Yuu and almost everyone else in his little group all had some type of relative that died or is hurt because of vampires, hence their desire to avenge these people. I wish there was more variety.

As for the plot, it’s nothing special. Yuu is like some reincarnation of Eren Jeager who’s feelings take over them and they become some stubborn angry teenager.
The animation was pretty solid and I did like the OP and ED. The one moment that made me enjoy the anime despite its flaws was when mika and yuu reunited, otherwise it felt very rushed and fan made if I’m being honest.
