We'll see who'll take gold :P
But I will be honest with you, I don't like the mechas all that much compare to say sci-fi really yet at the same thing if the studios who does these anime like "Darling in the Franxx" for example, A-1 Pictures and Trigger (One of my top favorite studios) collaborate together who make this and they made terrific shows from what I seen lately.
I seen Code Geass, Fullmetal Panic (can't wait for the sequel either), Gurren Lagann (enjoy these animes) also I have no memory nor interest in the Gundam series just can't get into it, didn't like it overall imo.

The series has charismatic and friendly characters from start to finish. Each one has a solid, deep and moving story that will make you love or hate them, but never an intermediate point. Also, each one has its significant value to the series, everything is connected to everything.
Not everything is humor, laughter and dialogue in Monogatari. There are also violent scenes, fights and action (this is more than everything in the end of each story arc and in his films). So you do not have to worry if yours are fights and you're tired of so much dialogue: there's a little bit for everyone.
Well that's something for which you should see Monogatari Series, that if I recommend you watch the series in order of broadcast.
