Air (Anime) add
Air--the first to come out in the KyoAni trio of wonder, which consists of Kanon, Clannad, and of course, this installment. Did I like it? Yes. and no?
Why yes?
1. The characters, though covered in honeyish moe, are still good and nice enough to make me care about them.
2. The sound. Have you heard that opening? It's really something.
3.The ending. It managed to tug at my heartstrings enough to make me tear up, in such a way that I'm worried about how I'll fare once I watch the other two of the trio...

Why no?
1. The plot. The story gets confusing at times-- I didn't ...

Aishiteruze Baby or "I love you, baby" suffers from a title that makes people believe it's a lolicon, when in fact it's a very hearfelt but very neglected shojo anime. Really, I feel this series is greatly undervalued, and it does not deserve it.
Enter Katakura Kippei, playboy absolute, who now has to take care of his five year old cousin, Yuzuyu. The first episodes are a bit slow and tiring, but I'm so glad I did not drop this anime, for I was in for a big surprise. What really drives this series is the characters. Kippei, despite his slacker manner and childishness, is ...

Preliminary (6/12 eps)
"I finally...reached you!"
The second season of Kimi ni Todoke can be summed up in this sentence. Yes, I know this is probably a spoiler, but it's not like you didn't know it was going to happen. The twelve episodes continue right were the first season left off, our main couple continues its sloooow but unbelievably sweet path to romance...encountering a great deal of misunderstandings and situations that made me at times facepalm myself, these guys are so naive. Yet, I didn't find those moments overwhelming, because it's all part of the ride. I found the second season very satisfactory, truly, the interactions between Kazehaya ...

Kimi ni Todoke is the kind of show that's surprisingly good in spite of itself. It's so unbelievably cute you'd think everyone but the shoujo fans would steer clear of it. Yet it's rather appealing. My fourteen year old sister who usually dislikes too cute stuff (she disliked Lovely Complex, please) loved this show. It's because Kimi ni Todoke feels...fresh, and its characters are all likable, especially Kuronuma Sawako. She's so good and honest you'll like her even if she's dense and "oh my gosh what is this i'm feeling" -y kind of girl. Another thing I love about this anime is...the pace. The romantic ...

Kare Kano is such a beautiful manga I don't even now how to begin describing it. You guys, don't get fooled by the shojo- high school appearance of it, this is heavy gear romance and drama. It deals with real life problems and situations faced by our main couple, Miyazawa Yukino and Arima Souchihiro . Both of them are compelling on their own right and make on of the best couples I've ever seen. Arima, particularly, goes through incredible changes throughout the whole story. The manga deals with matters as simple as a sport festival to really deep ones like family and true ...

Toradora! (Anime) add
I cannot truly say that I disliked Toradora! but I didn't love it, either. It's just... I never grew to love any of the main characters, or have real sympathy for them, and that, my friends, is a very serious issue indeed.
I also kind of grew bored with the story at times, too.
This anime is probably lower in my list than Kaichou wa Maid Sama! And that's saying something too. Because at least, Maid Sama! made me laugh a lot, and, although I did laugh with this one at times, it wasn't as enjoyable.

Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (Kare Kano, for short) is a hidden gem. All of the characters are likable, and I could relate to some of them so much (particularly the lead pair) it's scary. The comedy is top-notch, too.
Kare Kano's strong point is its characters. They can laugh uproaringly and get a runny nose when they cry. The thoughts that cross their minds are thoughts you and I have had, maybe late at night just before falling asleep. Their worries feel real.
There is no antagonist in Kare Kano, not really. The antagonists here are the hidden demons inside each character (particularly our lead ...

I really like Code Geass. There is nothing I can do about it. The first season was nearly perfect for me, the only outstanding flaw was the excessive fanservice.
Now, on the second season, the fanservice is toned down somewhat, as well as the gory scenes, but they are still there. So, is it better than the first? Not really.
My main complaint was the story. The writers did so much built up in the first season for matters like the Sword of Akasha and the origin of Geass, the true motifs of the Emperorand the truth behind Lelouch's mother's death. You'll get ...

I understand Code Geass does not need another review--but here you go.
Many will tell you this anime is overrated. And so it is. Still, it's really good, and addictive as no anime I've seen before. This anime was supposedly made to suit everybody: it has mecha, fantasy, military, school, romance, supernatural, drama, tragedy...you get the idea. And can it please everybody? I don't know. All I know is I watched it with my two sisters, who are 18 and 14, who had NEVER seen an anime before, and they loved it. So did I.
Story: Very entretaining, so fast-paced you can't blink or you miss ...

Being the shoujo anime lover I am, I had to watch this! Especially after watching Special A and everybody commenting on how similar special A was to Maid- sama! Well, now to the review.
The reason most people like this is because Usui is damn hot. That's right, he IS damn hot but that's not the point. The story in itself was not that great, it felt like the main character's relationship could have progressed way more than it did. As for the characters, I really liked Misaki's tsundere attitude, while she could kick ass, she still was good and fair with the boys whom she ...
