Both series are very visually beautiful, with a creepy, unsettling atmosphere that is constantly lingering throughout the whole work. Surrounded by mystery and horror, secrets and a visual atmosphere that seems to be rarely done, they're both amazing works that are very similar, and yet, fairly different in their own respective fields.

Both series deal with the life of a young teenager in a dark, medieval English territory. Both are not afraid to push the boundaries of subject matter, including blood, gore, and violence, and yet both are incredibly beautiful, harsh, and telling when they need to be. Both go hand-in-hand, and you should watch one if you haven't seen the other.

Besides the fact that they're both about redheads fitting in with their sports teams, and having the best black-haired player on their team backing them up and teaching them, Big Windup! has the same familiar charm that Haikyu!! does. Very important lessons, a fantastic cast of characters, so much humor, and a very amazing set of their sports events, highly similar - besides Big Windup! being about baseball11

While both of Togashi's works, Yu Yu Hakusho was the main blueprint for Hunter x Hunter. While many would say Hunter x Hunter is better, Yu Yu Hakusho does a lot of things Hunter x Hunter did, and has a great set of characters that you can tell were used as inspirations for Hunter x Hunter characters. Also, it has a much more fleshed out battle arc - one of the best in all of anime.

Both have a similar futuristic style, both dealing with mental health issues, and with technology as one of it's prime features, as well as adolescence.

While both being boys love, they are both mangas that have a deeper story of love, and aren't just smut. They don't sexualize homosexuality or guys, and just show a proper romance story, but with two guys.

The artwork, like Berserk, is absolutely beautiful. The story is dark, grim, and, Like Berserk, questions morals and values. Both characters are anti-heroic, and they compliment each other perfectly, despite being polar opposites. Yes, both have monsters, but one is set in a medieval fantasy setting, and one in modern-day Tokyo, they opposites can attract.
