/CHILDHOOD & ANIME MEMORIES/
I still remember how I got introduced to this world. I was 14 and we were just starting summer holidays the next day when a friend of mine recommended watching death note. I did so (dubbed to Spanish) and I got shocked at first but in a few episodes I realised how incredibly was that series.
So after it I watched more and more anime (luckily, I couldn’t find any other dubbed) and at the end of that first summer I had almost 30 days of time watched (so yes, 1/3 of the summer was anime, another 1/3 for sleeping and the rest of it for eating and rest).
Fortunately after that insane holidays I took anime with more calm
/RELEVANT (??) INFORMATION/
First of all I have to recognise that I could be a bit blab, I like to compare my profile with others so if I send to a friendship request it’s that I consider your profile enough similar to mine or that I just like your tastes.
My tastes? Well, even tho it can sound a bit mainstream I’m a huge fan of isekais. I mean, I don’t like all of them, but if it’s an isekai I will probably be more willing to give it a chance or to score it higher than I use to.
I’ve seen too many unfair classifications in this app, it’s kinda disappointing. I’ve classified them in two groups.
1. The ones who over score all animes. I mean, no, you can’t have more than 10 animes with a 10. I think that having a 3-5% of your animes in that tier is enough.
2. The ones who underestimate animes. Okay, you didn’t like it, it’s fine, but hell, scoring it as less than a 3? If I’m able to finish an anime it’s because it entertained me enough, otherwise I would have dropped it. So since that I consider unfair scores below 4 to finished animes.
/MY OWN TIER/
First of all I have to say that isekais are overrated in my tiers. So if an anime is a 6 it can easily become a 7 if it’s an isekai and don’t abuse (at least not in a disgusting and embarrassing way) of sexualised content.
I generally value animes this way:
10: Unforgettable masterpiece which influenced me and I’ve rewatched repeatedly
9: An anime I’ve loved or that I’ve cried with and that I’ll not forget. It has no need to have an amazing story, it just has to catch my heart in a subjectively way
8: Great animes. This is the tier for great animes, most of them have amazing stories, a few of them could not be that good but I just enjoyed it a lot
7: It’s a good anime and I liked the story or maybe
6: They are not that good but I could finish them easily. Maybe I expected more, maybe the end was disappointing
/I usually give scores below the average and do not start animes scored below 6 by the community/
5: Most of them are animes I finished but that it took me a little effort. The story is average/simple/boring
4: This is a bad anime. I finished a few of them but I could not with the majority. The story is bad and boring
3: Bad bad bad, most of them from long ago, when I used to watch many seasonal animes
2: This is HORRIBLE and a shame
1: I have no precedent for such a bad anime, this tier is empty.
